Matt walks in on Michael and Donna as they are about to kiss. Unreasonable,
according to Donna, he is upset by seeing his fiancee and her frequent
ex-husband in a near lip lock. Donna explains that they were merely saying
goodbye, so he has nothing to worry about. Michael seconds this, implying
that he won't be around much longer anyway. Of course Donna and Matt think
he
means that as in he's leaving town. Little do they know he means as in
leaving this material plane ... Anyway, Matt realizes he's being jealous, but
he worries about competing against their past. Donna assures him that he's
everything to her. She tells him that she's going to New York to get her
wedding dress, which also makes him a bit uncomfortable. They both agree
that
something is up with Michael, but Donna insists it has nothing to do with her,
and the fact that he won't confide in her is just proof that they don't belong
together and that he doesn't need her the same way that Matt needs her.

Vicky is grateful that Nick's bone marrow is a match for Michael. John and
Vicky tell Tomas that Nick is a match and ask him to help look for Nick, but
also ask him to not tell Nick what's up. John and Vicky comfort each other.

Vicky worries that Nick won't come back to donate the marrow. John thinks
that the Hudson clan is growing on Nick and that he'll come through. Vicky
leaves and Michael arrives. John excitedly tells him that Nick is a match.

Michael orders John not to tell Nick. John is incredulous, as are we all.

What can he possibly be thinking? That if they do the transplant and he still
dies, then Nick will feel responsible. Oh, and also, it hurts. Right. Well,
John tells Michael that he's a selfish martyr, if that's not a contradiction
in terms and insists that Nick has a right to know and that he will tell him.

Matt overhears most of this conversation.

Maggie looks for Nick after learning that he is a match. She finds him on the
roof. Nick precariously walks on the edge of the roof, scaring poor Mags.

She says that she knows about Michael and that she's sorry he's upset. Nick
is very upset that he may lose another parent. She goes to wipe his tears.

They kiss. She admits that she has feelings for him and that she needs time
to figure out what to do about it. Then she tells him that he's a match. He
is happy and excited. No one has ever needed him before, he explains.

Gary offers to help Ryan look for Carl. Bridget arrives to lambast Ryan for
neglecting Vicky. About time. He explains that he can't tell Vicky what's up
because that's him job. She says that he's going to lose Vicky -- she's at
her breaking point. Ryan accuses her of being sent there by Vicky. Not so,
she insists. Vicky is upset because Jamie wants her to send Stephen to see
him in London. Vicky arrives and tells Ryan about Michael. He holds her, and
then takes her home. Bridget is very upset about Michael. Ryan apologizes
for not being there for Vicky. She says he can make up for it by taking her
and Stephen to London. He refuses and then gets called away by Gary. Before
he leaves, he promises that when the case is over, she will understand
everything. She wonders about the next case. He gives her back the
engagement ring, which she puts on the desk instead of her finger.
