Vicky and Jake were at her dream house, when they realized someone was
watching them outside. They find a snagged piece of a shirttail in the
bushes. Who could it have been? Well, we know by the shaky camerawork
and
by the fact that a mystery person later burns the rest of the shirt
that
it's the stalker, but Vicky and Jake assume it's Ol' Gunboy himself.
Vicky
fakes a French accent and calls the restaurant, asking if Grant is
there.

He's not, so Vicky and Jake head over there, but not before Grant
arrives
and is informed by the maitre d' that someone faking a French accent
was
curious as to his whereabouts. Vicky leaves for the hospital when
Grant
tells her that he's sending flowers because Sofia Carlino has been hurt
(why
does he care? has he even met her?). Jake stays to harass Grant, who
informs him that he has been at a press conference with a Herald
reporter
all night, and his shirt is not ripped.

Michael, Vicky, and Jake comfort Nick. Raphael
half-taunts/half-comforts
Maggie, who is truly upset, and gains believability in her pregnancy
claims
when she throws up. John says that Sofia is in bad shape, but would
never
have even survived the surgery if not for Michael's new trauma unit.
Nick
is grateful. John is worried because Sofia has not woken up, and
wonders
what that power outtage during the surgery is about. Joe wants Nick
*out*
of the hospital. Seeing as how this is nearly as much his fault as
anyone
else's, I think he's feeling a bit of misplaced guilt, but that's just
me.

If he hadn't tried to split up Nick and Sofia, Nick would never have
slept
with Maggie, and Maggie wouldn't be pregnant, and Sofia wouldn't be
hurt,
and if my grandmother had wheels, she'd be a streetcar. Gabe
consoles Joe
in the chapel. Joe prays for Sofia. Later, Michael consoles Nick, and
asks
him what he's going to do about the baby. Nick is clueless. Big
surprise.

Carl and Rachel take Maggie home after Sofia pulls through the surgery.

Nick tells John that Maggie is pregnant so that he won't hear it
elsewhere.

John calls Felicia for comfort. Ick! Jake consoles Nick. Joe
slobbers
over Sofia. Gabe worries about Lorna. Lorna cancels a PR meeting with
Grant about the scholarship. (Good girl!) Matt threatened Carl,
saying
that all of his Chicago secrets are still there, and all Matt has to do
is
try again.

Oops -- I forgot I was doing an update, and mostly FFed through the
Gary and
Josie scenes. It's not that I don't like them; they're just kind of
boring
right now. The little bit I saw involved Gary play-acting as Gabe
while
Josie practiced telling him about their illicit investigation.
