AW update for Monday July 24, 1995

**A worried Cass faces parenthood. Carl convinces the
Beastie that he's impotent [good idea, but hey, with
Justine, he IS impotent :-)]. Will Rachel's

e-mail get through? [Hey Rachel--I'll forward it for you!]
Grant & Justine go house hunting seperately, but wind up
together. Looks like Grant's book is down the tubes.

Cass & Frankie are infanticipating--she's thrilled--he's
scared to death. Sharlene wants to go home to Oklahoma
for a while.**

Hospital: Cass, Frankie & Morgan are happy about
Frankie's pregnancy. Morgan wonders if Cass is still
worried about the new baby being sick like Charley was.
Frankie meets Sharlene. Sharlene says she's made a
decision which will affect the whole family. Frankie
announces she's pregnant. Sharlene and John are pleased
for her.

Cass & Morgan on the roof. Cass is thinking about
how it was when Charley was ill--anything could happen to
her, he says. Accidents, disease. Morgan says he sees
lots of panicky parents. Cass says caring for children
is not second nature to him. Morgan asks Cass if he's
hoping that Frankie is not pregnant. Cass remebers
Charley's surgery...and how she looked. If the new baby
has the same defect. Morgan asks if Franke would consent
to a test to see if the baby has the same defect. Cass
doubts it.

Sharlene tells John that she's been thinking about
her childhood. She wants to go back to Oklahoma for a
long visit and take Gregory. Bailey took her past and
her future. She wants to fill up her past, to find the
good memories. She'll be gone several months. [long
enough for Anna Holbrook to have her baby!] John is not
happy.

Frankie, Cass & Morgan arrive. Sharlene leaves.
Morgan turns down the opportunity to celebrate with Cass
& Frankie. He's on the nightshift. His beeper goes off.

The test shows that Frankie is pregnant. Frankie is
thrilled, but is Cass?

Carl & the Beastie (Justine). Carl is drinking. He
pretends he is drunk & impotent to hide the fact that he
can't stomach touching her. Justine says it will pass
(the impotence), and they should just be happy together.

When Carl refuses to eat with her, she puts the moves on

him, but Carl says he wants time alone. ON the way out, he

says that they have discoverd that Lorna
was poisoned. Justine doesn't even flinch. When Carl
leaves, Justine slams Rachel's picture face down. [there
seems to be computer in the Cory living room...suddenly--
what, the place is too small for an office space?]

Justine wonders about Carls impotence...is she getting
wise? She goes to the mirror...she vows to obliterate
Rachel bit by bit, until Rachel disappears from Carl's
mind. [mirror mirror on the wall...] Carl asks what
happened to the picture. When Rachel puts the moves on
him, he puts her off. He's going for a walk.

Nurse Braun catches Rachel at the computer. Rachel makes
an excuse that she got tired during her walk, but the
nurse wants to know how she got out of her room in the
first place--the door was locked. She shoos Rachel out
of the computer room, takes her back to her room and
gives her a shot.

Grant's [Spencer's] apt: Grant is writing his memoirs
and is not doing very well. He calls the hospital to see
how Lorna is. Marshall arrives. He wants Grant's
manuscript. Grant says there will be no book. Amanda is
gone, and Lorna wrote the first chapter, not him.

Marshall tries to goad Grant into trying--by talking
about the career that Grant had going--and that Grant
Harrison is a nobody without "daddy" and his press
secretary. Marshall leaves, and Grant thinks about this

image of himself and he is not amused. Grant calls a real

estate agent to view a house RIGHT NOW [is AW getting new

set? What is this slimball up to now?]

Cory Manse -- Rachel calls the same real estate agent and
wants to view a house RIGHT NOW. [what a co-incidence!]

All the while she's talking, she's snipping the flowers
off of a lovely bouquet. She tosses the broken
photograph frame in the trash. [That, with the doodle of
Lorna's headstone on the notepad should give someone a
clue!] She leaves.

Huntingdon House: Justine is pleased with the house the
agent shows her. She seems to remember it. The agent
tells her that he's expecting another buyer. SURPRISE!
It's GRANT. Grant says it is almost identical to the

house he was raised in. Justine says Grant should have

a home and by the way, how is Lorna? Lorna is not part

of his life, he says. Justine is tickled pink. It's too

much for him to renovate, he says. Justine wants to stay

and reminisce. She wants the house, she says--she fantasises

about her and Grant & Kirkland living in it.

Cory Manse: Carl returns home and calls "Dimitrius"
He asks for a hand-gun to be delivered ASAP.
Carl finds the photo and the cut up flowers. He moons over

the photo while Rachel's message flashes unseen on the computer
screen. [I dunno, I have to turn my computer ON to get
my mail] FREEZE FRAME

**Is it just me, or was Monday completely boring? NOTHING
happened. (except the bit with Rachel). There was nothing
here that moved me in the least. Not even Marshall dishing
it up to Gun-boy.**

Most pointless scene: Carl orders a gun on the phone.

from "Li'l Dimitrius's" -- Luger! Luger!
It seems odd that Carl doesn't have a gun stashed somewhere--
especially since he's known about the Beastie for a while now.
And considering his past. Maybe in that apartment of his?
One of AW's BEST sets, IMHO -- they should be using it.
