At Sassy's, Gary arrives to schmooze with the class, but Josie (surprise,
surprise) is the only one left. Not at all upset by this, Gary informs her
that tradition has it that she should buy him a drink. A non-alcoholic drink,
of course. Two other cadets see them together, and when Ryan arrives to buy
ribs for Vicky, one of them makes a snide comment about Gary and Josie to
Ryan, who is concerned. Gary tells Josie how he almost fell off the wagon,
but then he saw her on the telethon, and he didn't. Ryan joins them, and not
so subtly asks Josie about Ian. Ian's getting married. That was fast. Gary
and Josie agree that it takes a cop to understand another cop. Ryan begs to
differ, for obvious reasons. When Gary gets briefly called away, Ryan tells
Josie that there can be no relationships between students and their teachers.

Josie tells him not to worry -- she would never jeopardize her career. After
she leaves, Ryan gives the same speech to Gary, who is offended. He does
not
ever want to have a personal relationship at work again, after what happened
with Grace.

Grant visits Lorna to show her his cover of Brava. Then, in an appallingly
disgusting display, tries to get her to have sex with him while Felicia is in
the room, completely not noticing that she is on death's door. Lorna demurs,
Grant leaves, Felicia goes ballistic. How can you marry him when you can't
stand to let him touch you, she asks. Lorna says, "I don't know, maybe I
won't." Felicia breathes a deep sigh of relief at the first sign of hope in
ages. Felicia begs Lorna to see a doctor. Tomorrow, Lorna promises.

Meanwhile, at a restaurant, Morgan and Marshall are discussing how wrong
Grant
is for Lorna. Later, Grant talks to Marshall about the article and asks where
Amanda is. Marshall gleefully tells Grant that Amanda has left town without
telling him, because after all, they are divorcing. Grant says, and Morgan
overhears, that if it were up to him, he and Amanda would still be married.

Morgan tells Grant that he is an egotistical jerk not to notice how sick Lorna
is, and that she might be pregnant, and if she's not, she's seriously ill. He
tells Grant to use his influence over Lorna to get her to a doctor. Grant
flies over to Lorna's -- "Are you pregnant with *my* child?"

Joe goes to see Paulina. They realize "Rachel" didn't deliver Joe's letter.

She isn't angry, but doesn't want to rehash what happened with the necklace
and asks him to leave. He won't. He apologizes. She insists she was the
wrong one for taking out her anger for Jake on Joe. She's just not accustomed
to men apologizing to her. He reminds her that he's not Jake. They hold
hands. Awww. She says she is moving on with her life and they should start
over. Joe says he can't because he told her he loves her. She starts to get
uncomfortable. He asks her out anyway. She says she's doing a remote for
KBAY, but promises to think about it.

Jake takes a plane "home" to San Francisco and is distracted by a blonde
woman.

Sorry again for the delay,

Sharon
