As Grant describes his ambition to become mayor of
Bay City, Cindy discloses how she's begun cozying up
to the Corys. At the hospital, Carl and Amanda are
thrilled to find Rachel back on the road to
recgvery. A beaming Toni tells Chris how strong an
impression he made on her mother. Joe asks Paulina
to go to New York for a few days to help his aunt
recover from a hip injury. Although willing to lend
a hand, Paulina worries that time spent with more of
the food-loving Carlinos will take a serious toll on
her diet. Eager to look the part of the grand lady,
Cindy wheedles cash out of her husband for a new
wardrobe, then persuades him to let her try on his
mother's priceless diamond and emerald jewelry. Out
of Rachel's earshot, Carl and Amanda resume their
bickering. Joe and his officers begin hunting for an
arrogant cat burglar who leaves behind a signature
silver rose in each home he robs. Surprised to learn
that Cindy was once heavy, Paulina asks the former
nurse if she thinks diet pills would work for her as
well. Cass coldly rejects a business proposition
from Grant. With her wedding just six weeks ago,
Felicia sheepishly confides to Rachel that she had
an erotic dream about Alexander. Grant is outraged
to discover that an heirloom necklace has been
stolen from his wall safe. Paulina begins taking
pills in a desperate effort to drop some weight.
