Here's the doings in Bay City for 6/11/96...

SHARLENE/FAX

Sharlene goes into the doctors' lounge to post a bulletin and runs into
Fax
with his shirt off. He makes a pass at her, but she beats a hasty
retreat.

CASS/MICHAEL

Cass and Michael go back into Donna's hospital room only to discover
she's
taken the evidence envelope and disappeared...

DONNA/CHRIS/RITA/GABE

Donna puts on a doctor's lab coat and attempts to sneak out of the
hospital,
but when Rita and Chris come into the office, Donna hides under Rita's
desk
as Chris and his mother have another heated discussion. Chris is
cancelling
their lunch date and Rita makes a remark about how his work is more
important,
and Chris says that at least he's not neglecting a child at home just
to be
at his job. Rita says they've been over all this before, and if he
*was*
a father, does that mean he'd quit a job he loved? Chris finally
leaves,
and Rita goes out for a minute. Donna tapes the evidence envelope to
the
underside of Rita's desk, and sneaks out. Rita comes back in as Gabe
comes
in to question her about her role in helping Donna hide out in a
quarrantined
room. Rita tries to be evasive, but can't hide the truth.

GARY/JOSIE

Earlier, as Gary eavesdrops outside, he hears Gabe tell Josie they have
to
find and question Donna. As Josie comes out of the room, Gary pulls
her
aside and tells her he's her "backup", and he'll help her find both
Donna
and Michael. Josie is initally unwilling to let Gary get involved, but
he
reminds her that the sooner he clears his name, the sooner he can get
his
badge back. Later, Gary reports to Josie that a nurse saw a
dark-haired
woman wandering the hallways in a doc's coat that was too big on her,
and
he may have seen Michael near the doorways on the hospital monitor, but
couldn't track him down.

MICHAEL/SHARLENE

Michael runs into Sharlene at the hospital. They talk about Donna.
Sharlene
reminds him that he once made a vow to love, honor, cherish and protect
Donna, and it's no wonder he's still there for her now. Michael says
you don't
have to have a ceremony to connect you to a person, but it's true, he
and
Donna have two daughters and two beautiful grandchildren together and
he'll
always be there for her....

DONNA/FAX/MICHAEL

Donna slips into the doctors' lounge and runs into a shower-wet,
towel-clad
Fax. She begs him to help her evade the police. His face goes wary
when she
says she's being questioned for the deaths on the docks. He tells her
he'll
take care of it, and then picks up the phone to call about the
investigation
just as Michael bursts into the room. Michael shoos Fax out of there
and
chews out Donna for being so much trouble...

CASS/GABE

Gabe finds Cass in the waiting room, and asks him what he's doing
there. Cass
tries to give some story about being there for a checkup, but Gabe
doesn't
buy it. Cass then admits that Michael called him, and neither of them
can
find Donna. Cass says this puts him in an awkward position, helping
Donna
if she really is guilty, since his brother was in love with one of the
victims. Cass heatedly asks Gabe if he has any idea what it feels like
to
lose the woman that you love....

NICK/SOPHIA/GRANT

Nick and Sophia dine at the Harbor Club. Sophia is appalled at the
prices,
but Nick says it's okay, he just got paid. Sophia marvels over all the
money
he's spent on her and her family so far. He asks her if she trusts
him, and
when she says that she does, he says that's worth more to him than any
amount
of money he could spend. Grant comes over to their table and makes
some snide
remarks to Nick about how Nick sees Kirkland nowadays more than Grant,
his
own father, does. When Sophia tries to defuse the situation by
complimenting
Grant on the decor of the place, Grant tells her that the Harbor Club
is the
best restaurant in the area -- why, they're having to turn away
customers.
After Grant walks away, Sophia observes to Nick that Grant was
deliberately
being nasty, especially since Carlino's is having such a hard time. A
waiter
brings a phone to their table. It's Jake calling -- he needs Nick's
help.
Jake and Vicky are coming into town with the boys for a couple of days,
and
they have to do it without Grant finding out. Meanwhile, at the bar,
Grant
is consulting with his lawyer, who tells him that if Vicky shows up in
town,
they'll nab her, and if she doesn't, she'll be in contempt and Grant
can sue
for custody of Kirkland....

THE GRUESOME TWOSOME

John and Felicia are at Wallingford's, talking about their fishing
trip. John
gives her a drawing Gregory made of them catching a fish. She tapes it
up
by the cash register. John relates how he recently took Gregory on a
trip
to a petting zoo, and they watched a sow give birth to piglets. That
led
to John telling Greg about how he was born in a warehouse down on the
docks.
John says he's spending more quality time with Greg now than he did
before,
but he still misses him...

CHRIS/DANA

Dana is walking around down by the docks when a hand lands on her
shoulder.
Just as she's about to execute a karate move, she sees it's Chris. She
gives him heck for scaring her that way. They start talking about the
investigation. Chris tries to get her to divulge how it's going, but
she
clams up in time. Chris tells her that she shouldn't even be down
there,
she may end up the next victim. When she says she can take care of
herself,
he reminds her that no amount of karate can stop a bullet. Dana gives
Chris
a lecture on how by getting everybody panicky about the killings, the
Herald
may put so much pressure on the cops that they may end up arresting
someone
just to have a scapegoat, even if that person isn't the killer. He's
unimpressed with her diatribe...

MICHAEL/DONNA

Michael spirits Donna away to a cheap motel room somewhere. They sit
down
and he asks her where the evidence envelope is. Donna says she doesn't
know,
the whole day has been too hectic. Donna frets about how the cops
couldn't
possibly think she is guilty of the murders, does she look like someone
who
could do it? Michael asks her quietly, DID she? Donna breaks down and
starts
to cry, saying she doesn't know if she did or not....

NICK/SOPHIA

Nick tells Sophia that all their troubles seemed to start at the moment
during
the wedding, when just as they were about to dance, he was arrested for
the
jewelry theft. He asks her if they can maybe start over and go back to
that
moment just before he got nabbed by the cops. They pretend to relive
that
moment, and then Nick asks Sophia to dance. She protests that there's
no
dance floor at the Harbor Club, but he says who cares? They get up and
start
to dance by the bar...

SHARLENE

Sharlene gets a phone call from Gregory, who tells her that he needs
something
for Show and Tell at school the next day. Sharlene says he should have
asked
her earlier, and reminds him that the library is closed already. Greg
says
that Wally's stays open late, and Sharlene says okay, she'll stop by
there
on her way home. Later, as Sharlene arrives at Wally's, she looks
through
the window and sees John and Sharlene in a clinch.....FREEZE FRAME.
