Greetings, fellow AW fans! And away we go....

HARBOR CLUB

Lorna and Felicia are having lunch. Morgan is at the bar. Felicia suggests
to Lorna that perhaps Morgan might like to join them. Lorna tells her mother
"Don't you dare!"

CORY PUBLISHING

Marshall is on the speaker phone with Grant, giving ex-Senator Slime what-for.
Apparently Grant hasn't been doing much work on the book he's supposedly

writing. Marshall finishes his harrangue by demanding that Grant come over
to his office immediately. When he hangs up the phone, Amanda is there with
Elena Lopez, Marshall's assistant, just recently back from her vacation.
Amanda introduces the two. Amanda says she'll be at the Harbor Club, and

leaves. Elena and Marshall do _not_ hit it off.....

PAULINA'S HOUSE

Joe tells Paulina that he's in love with her. Paulina is furious with Joe for
lying about Jake and the necklace. Joe tries to make her see his point of

view. "I trusted you, I confided in you!" Paulina yells at him. "I thought I
was helping you," Joe replies. Paulina accuses Joe of trashing all the

memories of Jake that gave her comfort, now that she knows the truth about
the necklace. Joe says "I love you, Paulina, and if you would just give me
a chance, I know you could love me back."

PAULINA'S HOUSE

Paulina tells Joe he's arrogant to think she could ever feel that way. Joe

tells Paulina she was drowning in the past, and Paulina replies that Joe had
no right to interfere. Joe then tells Paulina how he fell in love with her
instantly upon seeing her at that party, and how he's never felt this way

before in his life. Paulina tells him "I thought we were friends." He replies
"I thought we could build on that." Joe says that Jake didn't love Paulina

enough, and she deserves someone who can get it right. "Stop acting like you
died in that crash!" he tells her; "Your future can still be good....I feel

like i have been waiting my whole life for you."

CORY PUBLISHING

Elena tells Marshall she has a problem with his approach to publishing "Brava."
The staff is overworked, and the new format of the magazine is too flashy.
They argue about it; Marshall is convinced his tactics are needed to save the

mag from going under, and Elena wants a more humane, principled approach.
Elena finally leaves, after more verbal sparring. Grant comes in. Marshall
reminds him he owes "Brava" a story by tomorrow morning. Grant tries to

slither out of his obligation, but Marshall threatens him with breach of

contract.

HARBOR CLUB

Lorna tells Felicia that there is no point in her seeing Morgan again. Felicia
replies "But you're in love with Morgan." Lorna starts to tell her how Morgan
needs someone squeaky clean, without a past, and stops short when she sees
Amanda come in as Morgan's date.

CORY PUBLISHING

Grant tells Marshall he shouldn't resort to threats. Grant begins a 'woe is

me' litany of how busy and troubled he's been lately. Marshall is

unsympathetic. Marshall recites to Grant all the reasons why his credibility
with the public is shot, and why he needs this article to rehabilitate himself.
"I want that story on my desk by tomorrow" Marshall says, or the book is

cancelled.

HARBOR CLUB

Eddie comes in and talks to the waiter for a bit. Meanwhile, Morgan and
Amanda
are having lunch; Morgan keeps staring at Lorna. Amanda is goodnatured
about
it, and Morgan tells her how he can't stop Lorna from marrying Grant. Morgan's
beeper goes off, and he leaves the table for a bit. Amanda goes over to Lorna
and Felicia's table, and tells Lorna that Morgan loves her. Amanda tries to
warn Lorna off of Grant by telling her how miserable he made Vicky and herself,
and how they wouldn't listen to advice about him either. Felicia eggs Amanda
on by agreeing with her. Lorna finally leaves in a huff. Morgan comes back
in, and looks around....

HARBOR CLUB

Amanda reassures Felicia that she's just having a friendly meal with Morgan,
and they're not dating or anything. Felicia despairs of Lorna ever seeing

sense where Grant is concerned. Amanda finally goes back over to Morgan's

table, and Felicia spots Eddie and comes over to his table. Felicia and Eddie
talk about the futility of giving advice to their children....

LORNA'S APARTMENT

Lorna is feeling ill again, and tries to lie down for some rest. The doorbell
rings -- it's Grant. He wants Lorna's help in writing the story, and tells
her "Everything I am or will be is in your hands."

PAULINA'S HOUSE

Paulina is crying and accusing Joe of making a fool of her in front of the

whole town with the phony necklace story. At the same time, she's also furious
with Jake: "He conned me one last time before he walked out of my life

forever!" Joe says she can still forgive Jake, but Paulina says she has no
forgiveness left. She cries "I hate Jake, and I hate you!"

PAULINA'S HOUSE

Joe tells her: "I'm sorry, Paulina, I mean that from the bottom of my heart."
She tells him "Please just go." She holds open the door, and Joe goes through
it, and just as he turns around to say something more, she slams it in his

face...

HARBOR CLUB

Amanda tells Morgan she tried to warn Lorna about Grant, with little success.
Morgan jokingly suggests she try reverse psychology, and tell Lorna that she
should avoid Morgan and that he's bad news for her; that would have Lorna

eating out of his hand in no time.

LORNA'S APARTMENT

Grant explains to Lorna about the book deal. He wants help arranging his

notes, and tells her about the threatened lawsuit. Lorna gives in and agrees
to type his notes for him, not very happily. The doorbell rings -- it's

Felicia. She's brought over some stuff from the pharmacy to help Lorna's

illness, along with a home pregnancy test. Lorna has asked Grant to wait in
the other room, but at the mention of the test, he sticks his head in the

room and shares glares with Felicia...

LORNA'S APARTMENT

Felicia manages to come up with a story that the pregnancy test is really for
Frankie. Grant buys it. Felicia is dismayed that Lorna is helping Grant with
the book. She finally leaves, but not before telling Lorna she's set up an

appointment for her with a gynecologist.

CORY PUBLISHING

Elena and Marshall are at it again. Marshall defends himself by saying that

"Brava" was dying, and only his system can save it. Elena rhapsodizes about
how much better Kenneth, Marshall's predecessor, was to work for. Marshall
tells her that times have changed, and if she doesn't like it, he can fire

her. Eventually, she storms out.

CARLINO HOUSE

Joe comes in and tells Eddie the whole story of what just happened with

Paulina. Eddie asks if Joe still loves her. The answer is Yes. "Then, it's
not over" Eddie says. "Tomorrow's another day."

PAULINA'S HOUSE

Paulina plays over again Jake's videotape. "You lied...you're such a liar,
Jake -- how could I have believed you?" she cries...

LORNA'S APARTMENT

Grant exclaims over the progress they're making on the story. He suggests
getting something to eat, and Lorna demurs, saying she ate already at the

Harbor Club. Grant uses that as an opening to yank her chain about Morgan
and Amanda's "date." Lorna doesn't take the bait. Grant is sulky because
he tries to initiate sex, and Lorna doesn't feel up to it. "Slam it in a

drawer," she tells Grunt....

CARLINO HOUSE

Joe and Eddie are playing pinochle. Joe broods over what a jerk he was:

"What I did was low. I feel ashamed." Eddie replies "What you did was fall
in love." Eddie says that somehow they have to make it right...

PAULINA'S HOUSE

Paulina is crying as she talks to Jake's picture: "Why did you have to make
me trust you all over again?" She wonders aloud if Jake was ever going to
give any of the $75 grand back, or if he considered he deserved it as a going-
away present. Paulina finally yells "I can't take this anymore!" as she
grabs a suitcase and heads out the door.....FREEZE FRAME
