Subject: AW Update, Tues, June 13

Hi everyone,

Well, it was a wonderful holiday, but boy am I glad to be home.
Can you imagine, I missed 15 episodes of Another World. It seems
as though I am so far behind, I may never catch up (but I know I
will).

Anyway, excellent show today, so lets get to it, shall we?

Wallingford's Book Store

Lorna arrives to see Felicia. Felicia comments on how good it is
to see Lorna out and about, especially since she hasn't been
feeling well. She asks if Lorna needs anything to which Lorna
replies - beach books, she has finished all of hers. Felicia can
help, she goes and suggests a book for Lorna. Lorna wants to
know when the third degree will start. Felicia says she has
decided to stop asking 20 questions, she knows how Lorna hates
that. Lorna says, so if I have something to say, you are going
to make me blurt it out? Felicia says, yeah, that is about the
size of it. Why, has something happened since I saw you? After
a bit of hesitation Lorna says "Well, I think I've figured out
why I feel like roadkill." Then drops the bombshell that she
thinks that she is pregnant with Grant's baby. She is surprised
that Felicia doesn't jump down her throat, but is rather
supportive and concerned. They discuss her options (ie.
Abortion) and whether or not to tell Grant right away. Lorna
decides that she will wait until after her trip with Grant to
even take the pregnancy test, she wants to get used to the idea
first. Lorna leaves.

Felicia is going into the back of the store when she sees a man
(Eddie) checking out the woodwork at the bookstore. They discuss
the workmanship that went into Wallingford's, his son,
Wallingfords (how it used to be a USO club), their children.
Felicia comments on how familiar this is getting. Eddie comments
on how his son is taking out this woman and how romance is
different nowadays. They agree to sit and have coffee and a
donut.

Joe's House

Joe's Dad is measuring the sofa for new slip covers. They
discuss the need for renovations both in the house and in Joe's
love life. Joe has bought a new jacket and suit. He tells his
Dad he is going to take Paulina to a party. Dad is enthused, and
sends thanks to his dead wife for granting his wish.

They discuss first Eddie talking to his dead wife and then Joe
and his gift to Paulina. Eddie is not impressed that Joe didn't
come clean with Paulina regarding the necklace. Joe says that it
is the first time Paulina has been happy since I met her, she has
proof that that deadbeat husband of hers loved her. He refuses
to take that away from her. Dad is worried about Joe and where
Joe will fit into her life. Joe replies that he won't, he will
only be a friend. Eddie thinks that Joe is full of crap. He
knows that Joe is in love with Paulina. Joe refuses to talk
about it anymore and goes upstairs to get ready. Eddie, again
speaking to his dead wife, says, What's the deal up there? Is
somebody asleep? This is not the deal we made Rosie, not at
all."

Paulina's House

Matt enters. Paulina has the opera music turned loudly to fill
the void in the house. It is the same opera Mac used to play all
the time.

Paulina wants to attend Donna and Matt's engagement party. Matt
agrees. He asks what changed her mind. Paulina says she wants
to put the past behind her and get close to Matt again, to mend
fences. Paulina shows Matt the necklace and explains its
history. She wants to wear it and tell everyone where it came
from and that it shows that Jake really loved her. Joe will be
her escort, if that is all right. It is, they hug and Matt
leaves.

Joe arrives at Paulina's to take her to the party [HE LOOKS GOOD
IN WHITE]. He gives himself a good talking to - telling himself
this is not going anywhere - it is not a date. He knocks on the
door. Paulina answers, also a vision in white. They compliment
each other on how they look. Paulina asks Joe to put on the
infamous necklace. She talks about how much the necklace means
to her. She turns and they look into each other's eyes. Paulina
seems disturbed with what she sees in Joe's. They leave for the
party.

Donna's Apartment

Doorbell rings and Donna answers door dressed in open house
jacket showing her slip underneath (she says through the door
that Matt should start remembering his key). Michael is at the
door. He has brought a present for Donna and Matt. he says, "Hi
Blackie." He enters and Donna goes upstairs to get dressed.
Michael says, if she wants, he'll come back after she is dressed.
Donna yells that it isn't anything he hasn't seem before.
Michael, under his breath, says he doesn't want to be reminded.
Donna returns, dressed, but needing assistance. Michael does up
her back buttons and comments on how beautiful she looks.
Further, they discuss how there are no changes to the house.
Donna opens the gift. It is a windup clock. Michael explains
that you need to take the time or it will stop. Hopefully it
will remind Donna and Matt of passing time and he hopes they will
have many happy hours together. Donna thanks him.

They discuss Victoria and how Michael doesn't know what to do.
Donna wants them to work it out - she wants them both at the
wedding. Michael says he blew it. Donna says it is a matter of
trust - just like her and Michael. They discuss their life
together and apart and how there is room in everyone's life for
Mike. Then they discuss where Donna and Matt will live. Mike
says that in hindsight he wishes he had done a lot of things
differently. He shows Donna how to work the clock - Matt enters.
They freeze, as if they are guilty of something. Matt and Mike
shake hands. Donna shows off their new clock. Michael says he
has to go, he can't leave Nick along long. Matt invites Mike to
the party tonight. Mike declines - saying he still hasn't made
up with Vicky and doesn't want a scene. Matt says they are all
in this together and is willing to help. Mike leaves. Matt
complements Donna's looks and tells her not to act like I caught
you skinnydipping every time I walk in on you and Michael. I
know you are history. Donna questions, and it really doesn't
bother you? Matt says no and they exchange I love you's and etc.

Spencer's Hospital Room

Spencer finally gets through to Ryan that Justine is alive. Ryan
is puzzled, he really doesn't know what Spencer is trying to tell
him. Is he disoriented because of the stroke? He tries to
explain that Justine died 10 years ago, but Spencer is adamant
that NO, she is still alive. Ryan (wondering how with it Spencer
is) asks if he knows what you it is. Squeeze my hand when I get
to the right one . . 1985? . . . 1990? 1995 and Spencer squeezes
his hand at the correct year. Spencer wants to use the letter
board. He spells out: KILL ME. Ryan, thinking that Spencer
wants himself done in promises he will get better. Spencer
mumbles: help. Then, something must click with Ryan because he
says "Are you saying that Justine is alive and trying to kill
you?" Spencer gestures yes. Ryan assures him that he realizes
that he is scared, but no one is going to hurt him. Spencer
keeps telling Ryan that the fear is real SHE LIVES - SWEAR IT.
Ryan asks if Spencer wants a nurse, Spencer says, no, she lives,
swear it. Ryan again inquires about the nurse. Spencer says no.
Ryan says that he can't stay, he has to pick up Vicky and take
her to the Engagement Party Rachel is giving for Matt and Donna.
Spencer says, "No - not Rachel - She lives." Ryan says, I don't
follow you, I don't understand. Spencer sits back in despair.
Ryan has to go now, he will return soon. He leaves and Spencer
rests.

Carl and NotRachel's Bedroom [I took the time to get this all for
you, I am not sure if it is important or not, but here it is.]

They are preparing to make love.

Justine: Think of it as the first time. I know I will.

They kiss.

Carl: Tell me something - why did you leave our bedroom - why
wouldn't you touch me until now?
Justine: Because you were hurt.
Carl: Is that the only reason?
Justine: Yes, what other reason could there be?
Carl: Justine
Justine: Why are you thinking of Justine?
Carl: Since her name has come up, you've been on edge.
Sometimes I look at you and you are 100 miles away.
Justine: Not now - I'm here - on you
Carl: yes, yes - hungry passion, I want you, I want you, I want
to be close to you.
Justine: You are mine and you always will be.

Later, NotRachel is sleeping. Carl is getting dressed. He takes
a rose and puts it on the pillow next to Justine. He takes her
hand and kisses the palm. He notices scars on her wrist. He
goes across the bed and looks at the other wrist.

He is visibly shaken. Backs away from the bed, exit's bedroom,
leans against the door and says: "Jesus Christ, Justine."

He reenters the bedroom. NotRachel is still sleeping. He
approaches the bed and then flashes back to Amanda saying Mom is
acting strange, has slapped her - Rachel giving Matt a scarf -
her inquiring about Lorna - the burglary - why she moved out of
the bedroom and her saying "The first time - I know I will." He
tucks her arm under the blankets. Someone knocks on the door.
It is Candy. She tells him that Ryan is downstairs. He says
that he will be right down. He checks to make sure Justine is
still sleeping and goes downstairs to meet Ryan.

He asks what Ryan is doing there. Ryan starts to talk when Carl
says - Let's not talk here and leads him into the living room,
closing the doors behind them. Ryan tells Carl what Spencer
said. Ryan says he is all right physically but is wondering
about mentally, he thinks he has lost his mind. Carl says, "He
has his wits more about him thank any of us." Ryan asks what he
means. Carl replies that he has reason to be frightened. Carl
needs air so they go outside. {Meanwhile, Justine awakens and
calls for Carl.} Ryan wants to know what Carl is talking about.
Carl tells him that Justine is alive. Ryan, "Oh, alive and
trying to kill Spencer. I find that a little ridiculous." Carl
replies, "Yes, well it isn't. He isn't the only one in danger."
They continue to discuss how Justine must have faked the
circumstances surrounding her death because she is indeed alive
and here in Bay City.

Candy arrives to say that Matt and Donna have arrived - Ryan and
Carl go in to meet them. Justine follows Matt and Donna into the
living room. Carl watches as she greets Matt and Donna and says
This is the night we have all been waiting for. Justine asks
Carl for help putting on her necklace. He pulls it tight against
her throat. She gasps, you are hurting me. He says, "Clasp -
it's being troublesome." He caresses her neck with one hand
FREEZE FRAME

So there you go. Sorry it is so long, but I am kinda out of the
swing of this. Thanks to Lisa for sending me updates and for my
Tuesday counterpart for filling in for me while I was gone. I
owe you one (or more).

Great to hear Jake is returning. See you on the 'net!

Dianne
