fter losing track of which glass contains the
poisoned cognac, Cindy nervously suggests to her
bridegroom that they forego the traditional toast
and get back to the honeymoon bed instead. Felicia
tells Alexander she finds it highly suspicious that
he arrived on her doorstep just after John was
called away on a mysterious medical emergency.
Though she accuses him of setting up the whole
scenario, Alexander denies being so manipulative and
explains that he simply recommended her fiance to an
ailing friend who required immediate heart surgery.
At the hospital, Vicky is startled to find that Jake
has been admitted with a punctured lung. Meanwhile,
Shane manages to escape from Detective Morris'
clutches. After Jake reveals how Shane saved his
life, Vicky apologizes for the hurtful things she
shouted at her best friend the other day. On the
witness stand, Cindy stuns the courtroom onlookers
by declaring that her husband is an innocent man.
After the judge dismisses all the charges, Michael
hisses a warning to Grant to stay away from Vicky or
else. Jake helps Vicky and Shane slip out of the
hospital without being detected by the hapless
Morris. Grant and Cindy resume plans for a homicidal
      honeymoon.
