THURSDAY UPDATE

Most of today's show concerned the muders of Blair and Courtney...here's

how it went:

The Beginning:

Gabe asks Joe to go over Gary's transcripts and look for

inconsistancies. At home, Josie asks Gary why he threw away all of his

police medals and awards. She tells him not to give up and suggests they

both move to another city so they can both be cops. Gary tells Josie

that he has always run away from his mistakes and won't run again.

The Case

Gabe wants to talk with Donna on a tip from a nurse at Bay City General.

All they have on the Courtney's case is a memo, some gym clothes, and

some cassette tapes...but where is the tape recorder?? A mystery person

is seen taking a tape recorder out of the locker and plys the part of

Courtney screaming.

Rita is brought in for questioning about the hospital memo. How did the

police get a private memo, she asks, and what does it have to do with the

case? Gabe wonders if Courtney's concern about safety in the ER meant

that she came across her assailant at the hospital. Dr. Neuman enters

and Gabe asks what he was doing in the ER that night when he wasn't

assigned to that rotation? Fax replies that he was looking for Morgan.

Donna/ Michael/ Matt/ Morgan:

Michael drives Donna home from the hospital as she has released herself
early.

While he is arguing with a cop over a police ticket, Donna grabs her

purse from the backseat, and goes upstairs. Noticing Donna has vanished,

and has forgotten a scarf in the backseat, he heads up to her condo.

Michael drops the scarf on a chair and starts talking with Donna. Matt

appears (he still has keys). He knows Donna had a rough time in the

hospital and wanted to be there when she got back. But the real reason

he is there is to talk about the night they met on the docks.

Morgan comes by to ask about the conversation Donna had with Courtney the

night she died. He then turns to Matt and says "Was there something

going on between you and my girlfriend that I should know about"? Was he

having an affair with Courtney? Matt tells Donna that his hugging a

friend and hooking up for lunch does not mean he is having an affair.

How could she think that? He boldly states to Donna that she is out of

control for thinking this way. Morgan asks Donna if she saw Cvourtney

that night or heard her screaming? When he beings to badger her, Matt

steps in and says Donna was with him at the docks that night. He tells

Morgan that he hasn't talked to the cops because he doesn't want to be

involved in another murder investigation.

Morgan leaves and goes to tell Gabe that Donna and Matt were at the docks

and that Donna believed Matt was having an affair with Courtney. Donna

sees the scarf in the chair and wonders whose it is. She guesses she

might have mistakingly got it from the hospital and goes to bring it back.

Josie's Assignment:

Josie has been assigned to talk with the old man who knocked over her

wheelchair. He gets all weird when she brings out a tape recorder to

tape their conversation. The man shows Josie part of a gold chain. He

says that he got it "after that looker got shot". That's Blair, Josie

thinks. The old man tells her that the chain got ripped off his neck

while in the ER and that Dr. Evans would have seen the person who did it

b/c she was in the room by the door. Josie thanks the man and promises

to return the chain. She goes rushing back to the police station,

telling Gabe that she can link the two murders!!!!!

The OTHER storyline of the day:

Nick comes to Carlino's to talk with Sofia, and is warned by Tony to be

discreet. Joe and Tony talk about how they will pay the $50,000 in back

taxes that Jake left them to owe. Nick tells Sofia that he will find a

way to save their restaurant....because he loves her.

Maggie comes into Carlino's to complain about living with Frankie but

finds no sympathy from Sofia. Nick visits the assessor's office and

distracts the guy from his desk. He hops on the computer and changes the

Carlino account to "paid in full". Unfortunately, a systems error occurs

and his plan fall through.

That's it for this Thursday!
