Matt and Chris try to stop Morgan from opening the body bag, but he
does;
it's Courtney. Morgan is devastated; he insists she's been murdered.

Matt and Chris are going to look into it. Gabe is still thinking it
might
be suicide. Gabe breakes the news to Rita. She and the other women at
the hospital are very worried that women are being targeted near the
hospital.

Jake sensationalizes the murder in the newspaper, playing up the angle
that both murders happened in the same place, even though they are
apparently unrelated. Chris is upset about the headline, but Jake
insists
that he just wants to catch the killer so that Vicky can feel safe
living
in Bay City.

Lucy promises Grant that she will bring Kirk to him. However, when she
arrives at Jake's, both Jake and Donna are very protective, and
accompany
her on their walk. Lucy sees Grant, but can't get Kirkland away to
bring
him to him.

Nick sells his bike in order to buy up every copy of the Herald with
the
racy picture of Sofia. He tells Maggie what he's up to, which only
depresses her. Maggie tells Tomas that Sofia saw Nick having sex with
somebody, so their break-up isn't her fault. Of course, Sofia doesn't
know who that somebody is. Nick is at Sofia's house to comfort her and
tell her he's bought up the papers, but Tomas somehow lets himself in
--
with a stalker on the loose, doesn't anyone believe in locking their
doors? -- and tries to start a fight. Sofia, however, is impressed by
the
fact that Nick bought up all those papers. She goes with him to burn
them.

Sharlene leaves John and Gregory in the cabin to bond. He explains
that
he still loves Mommy, he just doesn't feel romantic love for her. They
all go back to the hospital together. Felicia and Michael are both
there,
and they are both worried that John and Sharlene might get back
together.

Instead, they explain that wires got crossed; Sharlene left a note for
him. Fax says that he gave it to a nurse, who must have lost it. John
and Sharlene both believe him. They hear the news about Courtney.
Rita
confides her fears to him. He comforts her, and then gives an
impromptu
eulogy for Courtney, to what looks like the entire staff of Bay City
General. I guess the patients were fending for themselves. Great
speaker, John. The philandering orator.

Gabe learns that Courtney left the hospital listening to a Walkman. In
the meantime, a pair of hands puts the Walkman into one of those coin
operated lockers.
