Lots happened today ...

Grant returns to Lucy from the Cory estate and Lucy is aghast at his
face. He tells Lucy that Carl tried to kill him, and he'll stop at
nothing until he's dead. Um, Grant, why discriminate? Everyone wants you
dead, except Lucy. She goes to tend to his wounds, when she sees the
bruises on his chest. Oh, Grant, how did you ever survive in prison? By
focusing on Kirkland, my dear. She wonders if Carl would hurt Kirkland.

Grant says no -- I'm the one he's after. Grant starts crying, I want my
son, I want my son. I think that Grant displayed enough psychotic
behavior in this scene to scare off the silliest grad student, but
apparently Lucy doesn't agree.

Carl asks Rafael if he missed Grant on purpose. Rafael denies it. Then,
says Carl, you're incompetent and you're fired. Rafael wants his money.

Carl is amused. Rafael threatens Carl. Carl is not amused. He puts the
gun to Rafael's chin and then shows him that the gun was loaded with
blanks. Do you really think I'd let you near Rachel's grandchildren with
a loaded gun, he snarls. Carl tells Rafael that he will be a challenge,
but maybe eventually he can make something of him. Matt sees them
together. Matt tells Rachel that Josie can't remember shooting Blair.

Rachel tells him that that just happens sometimes, and Rachel should know.
Matt wonders if maybe someone else killed Blair, and they're sill OUT
THERE. Rachel leaves the room, allowing Matt the opportunity to ask his
stepfather if he murdered Blair. Carl's not exactly sorry that Blair's
dead, but he didn't kill her; Rachel's changed him, for the most part, at
least. Blair had said that she changed too, Matt says ominously. Matt
leaves.

Nick and Maggie are making out in the barn. Ooh, deja vu. He tells her
that he'll sleep with her, but he'll be thinking of Sofia the whole time.

What a gent. Maggie runs out, leaving behind her bracelet. Michael
appears in the barn, and Nick insults him. Michael doesn't want to lose
Nick. I think that they're both so charming that they should live in the
barn. Nick says he won't leave because he just found him a year ago, but
that Michael shouldn't expect them to be best buddies. Michael finds
Maggie's bracelet, but he doesn't know that it's hers. He asks Nick about
it. Nick says that he aimed too high when he was pursuing Sofia because
he's just a screwup, and Michael leaves.

Paulina is happily chirping about Dante's christening while Sofia
literally cries into the soup. She tells Paulina about last night at
Sassy's. She was there with Tomas, and Nick saw it and got angry and left
with this really beautiful girl. Paulina tells her she should be glad
that she found out the truth about Nick before things went "too far."

Sofia happily realizes that Nick was so angry because he must have figured
that Tomas was only going out with Sofia to get back at Nick for breaking
up Tomas and Maggie. Whew! Paulina receives a card, with a check, from
Rachel, for the christening. Paulina wants it, but knows that know that
she's a Carlino, she's not allowed to accept gifts from relatives. Forget
that lots of people give money for occasions like that, even if it isn't
needed. She tells Sofia to take it to the Cory's and give it back.

Maggie arrives and she is very upset. Paulina doesn't want to hear it.

She doesn't want to be in the middle between her and Sofia, and she feels
bad enough that she didn't tell Sofia that Nick was sleeping with Maggie
(which he wasn't, Maggie only made that up and told Paulina, hoping that
she would break up Nick and Sofia.) Maggie doesn't care about Sofia --
why should I feel sorry for her, when Nick loves her and not me, she
whines. Paulina feels bad for her. Maybe you can get a summmer job to
take your mind off it, she suggests. Maggie says that she doesn't want to
live without Nick and runs off. She goes all the way back to the barn,
where she tells Nick that she's ready. He repeats that he couldn't care
less about her. What a guy. She doesn't care. She takes off his shirt,
and they go at it. Sofia is approaching ...

Felicia tells Michael that she didn't tell John about that night. I know,
Michael replies, I did. Well, I wish you hadn't, she says. He asks her
for her help in getting John to forgive him. It's too late, she says.

Sharlene asks Fax if it will hurt Josie if she leaves town. Fax says no.

She asks him if John will be in today. He says later that afternoon.

Then she's coming to see Josie now. Josie tells her it's OK with her if
she goes, but is she taking Greg? Of course. John has no say in it.

John walks in at that precise moment and demands to speak to Sharlene
outside. She won't apologize -- I did nothing wrong; we were separated.

You cheated on me. Always the victim, John replies. You chose Michael
because he's my brother. You did it to hurt me, he whines. She says that
like so many things lately, what she did had nothing to do with him. He
thinks she wants to take everything away from him -- Michael, Gregory,
etc. Who will I have left, he demands. Why, your mistress, or course,
the one you chose, she replies. She tells him that he's the only man
she's ever loved but that she needed to be touched like a woman. Are you
moving, he asks. No, but I'm taking Gregory to Chadwell until your
lawyers work out a custody arrangement that I like. He tells her not to
take Greg out of state. In light of her indiscretion, the whole custody
situation is different. She says that she will not change her demands.

He says that she better prepare for a fight.

Sharlene goes home and freaks out. She's on the phone, buying airplane
tickets, when Fax arrives. He asks her not to leave, but when she insists
that she has to, he offers her his cabin and promises not to tell John
where she is. She leaves a note for John saying that she's taking Greg,
but that she will be back. She doesn't say where she is going. Michael
knocks on the door and Fax answers and tells him that she doesn't want to
see him.

Felicia tells Lorna to be careful with Gabe. I wasn't honest with John,
she warns. John enters, and Lorna leaves. He apologizes for his
outburst. Felicia tells him that she saw the damage he did at the farm.

He says that he's so angry at Michael that he doesn't know if he'll ever
get over it. She knows. She tells him that it means that he's still in
love with Sharlene.

Gabe gives the kid he rescued the other day a video game. When the kid
asks if his kid has one, Gabe says no.

Chris eavesdrops on Dana, who is talking on the phone at the hospital. He
flirts with her, and Rita overhears them. He asked her who called 911
about Josie and Blair. She tells them that she has no time for the
conversation, and leaves. Rita tells him to stay away from Dana and all
Kramers. He says it's just business, but that if she wants more, he's
interested. Rita also tells him to stop "working" at the hospital.

Gary tells Josie that she doesn't have to go back to the police force.

When she asks what he means, he tells her that he's submitted her
resignation.
