Lets get right to it, shall we?

FRAME FARM

Josie arrives in from training, she has just finished her morning
run. She had seen Clara out for her morning walk (not jog).

Charlene and Josie discuss Clara's health and decide to keep tabs
on her to make sure she doesn't over-do it. Charlene also
comments to Josie that she is worried about her and wants her to
take it easier and eat correctly. Josie points out that today is
the first day at the Academy and she does not want to be late.

She goes upstairs to shower.

Upon returning, Charlene and Josie discuss Sinclair and Josie's
feelings that he is "out to get her". Josie further thinks that
he has an attitude, is rigid, and that he is a machine
(everything in its place, clean nut, etc).

Frankie arrives as Josie is getting ready to leave. Charlene
announces John and her intent to re-marry. Josie and Frankie are
invited to be in the wedding party. They both entusiastically
agree. Josie, who is really running late now, leaves.

Charlene offers Frankie breakfast. Frankie comments that she is
not feeling very well, nauscous, she thinks maybe she is getting
the flu, she hasn't been well for a few days now. Charlene is
skeptical that it is the flu. She is only sick in the mornings??

Frankie says that it is worse in the mornings, but gets better in
the afternoon. Charlene asks if any other reason has occured to
her?? Frankie is suprised as it dawns on her she may be
pregnant! She worries about Cass's reaction. They have been
avoiding the subject of having more children since Charlie was
born with the heart condition, had to have surgery, etc. She
comments on how distant her and Cass have become, they don't have
time for each other, they are both so busy. They are afraid that
another child may have health problems just like Charlie.

Charlene tells Frankie that she will be supportive of her and
Cass no matter what they decide to do about the upcoming event.

Frankie can't believe that she would be so "out of touch" with
her body. What is happening to her?? Charlene tells her it is
normal. Frankie reveals that her and Joe had a disagreement and
maybe that is why she isn't feeling well. Maybe it is just
nerves! She leaves to go and see Joe and straighten things out
with him.

GARY SINCLAIR'S APARTMENT

We are treated to a wonderful chest shot as the scene opens.

Gary looks at his watch and notices that he is running late. We
see Gary rushing around his apartment trying to get ready for
work. (This is occuring at the same time as Josie is conversing
with Charlene about her problems with Sinclair) We notice that
the apartment is a mess, clothes strewn around, books lying
aobut, dirty dishes. Josie obviously has Sinclair figured wrong.

He finishes getting ready, grabs a donut and leaves.

POLICE ACADEMY

Josie arrives, just on time as Gary arrives only moments after
her. Before his arrival, Josie and another cadet comment on his
lateness. After Sinclair's arrival, he lays down the law to his
cadets and gives them their first instructions: fill out
attendance sheets every morning, no talking while in rank (and
what rank is), they must be in excellent physical condition,
reliable, dependable, etc. Josie is repremanded for talking
while in ranks. Sinclair singles her out to demonstrate proper
pushups. He wants the class to "give him 30". The class drops
to the floor and starts. [We take a break from them and rejoin]
97, 98, 99, 100 situps. Sinclair comments on what a pathetic
bunch of people they are - really out of shape. He orders them
to start squats. Josie, obviouly at the end of her rope, loses
her balance and collapses. When she comes to, Sinclair helps her
up and dismisses the rest of the class. He then inquires whether
the routine is too much for her. Josie covers by saying that she
missed breakfast. He tells her not to do that again and
dismisses her.

CORY MANSION

Rachel and Amanda are in the living room. Rachel wants to spend
some time with Amanda. Offers to take her for lunch, etc.

Amanda declines. We note that things are tense between the two
of them because of Evan.

Mother and daughter discuss Evan and why Rachel doesn't like him.

Rachel points out that Evan would never let Amanda put Allie
first and that he wants her to leave Cory, etc. She inquires
what Amanda wants. She says she does not want to leave Cory (or
Allie) and that she is confused and hurt at the way Evan left.

Marshall arrives. He and Amanda are going to Chicago on
business. Amanda leaves to check up on Allie, talk to Hilda and
get ready for their departure. Rachel and Marshall talk about
Cory and especially Brava, which is in trouble. Amanda returns.
Marshall asks Rachel about publishing the first few chapters of
Grant's book in Brava. Rachel is concerned that Amanda would
have to work with Grant and she doesn't want Amanda to do this if
it will cause her a problem. Amanda tells her not to worry, so
they all agree to publishing part of the book in Brava. Marshall
is offered Vice President/Editor in Chief of Brava. He is
unsure. Amanda and Rachel push him to agree to the job
promotion. After a bit of prodding to take the job (which he
says he really doesn't have a choice) Amanda and Marshall leave.

Carl arrives home. [For Carl's previos activities, please see
below] They discuss Ryan. Carl is very worried, first Ryan was
feeling guilty about his mother, now he feels abandoned. Carl
can't believe that Justine can still hurt people even though she
is gone. A bit later, we see Carl on the phone to an Art dealer.

He is going to New York to view a vase.

HOSPITAL

Carl and Ryan discuss Spenser's condition outside his hospital
room. There is no change. Carl and Ryan discuss the fact that
Justine was alive after giving birth the Ryan and how Ryan feels
about this disclosure. At first, Ryan is upset with Spenser for
not telling him the truth. Carl points out [if you can believe
this] that Spenser may have just been trying to protect Ryan and
Grant from Justine. He points out that Spenser would have known
Justine a lot better than he, as he only knew Justine for a brief
time. Spenser would have had to live with her much longer.

Justine had not even told Carl she was pregnant! We are treated
to a reprise of Ryan's childhood, Grant disliked him because he
"killed" his mother, etc. Ryan wonders how she could do what she
did, especially after knowing what Vicky went through. Carl
points out the many, many dissimilarities between Justine and
Vicky. Carl asks Ryan if Spenser was maybe just trying to create
an ideal Mother to make everyone feel better. Ryan just can't
understand how his Mother could leave and never look back . .

Carl tells Ryan that Spenser knew where Justine was all the time
that everyone else thought she was dead, and that she chose not
to make herself known. Further, he again defends Spenser's
actions, then leaves.

Billy arrives. He shows concern for Spenser but this is not the
reason he has looked up Ryan. He has good news. Billy has been
promoted to Inspector and has recommended Ryan for Captain. Ryan
is doubtful about the brass accepting him as Captain. Billy
reassures him, he would make an excellent captain. Billy has
more good news. Ryan's suspension is lifted as of tomorrow. He
can go back to work, on either side of the desk. Billy leaves.

Ryan goes in to see Spenser. He tells of the promotion. We can
see that Spenser is proud. Ryan tells that he knows that Justine
was still alive (not killed in childbirth) and that sometime,
when he is fully recouperated, he would like Spenser to explain.

For now, just concentrate on getting well. Spenser tries to tell
Ryan that Justine is still alive, but can't.

JUSTINE'S HOTEL ROOM

Christophe is seen putting a suitcase in the hall closet. He
makes a call to Dr. Dansonville. Justine will arrive to see him
tomorrow. She may have to be sedated, she is on the verge of
madness again. Christophe is worried about her. Justine arrives
home, she has been shopping. Christophe picks up her package and
Justine orders him to put it down. Christophe wants to know what
is in the box. Justine tells him that it is none of his business
and that a girl must have some secrets. They discuss their
plans, which are going well. Carl needs to be removed for an
evening. Urgent business maybe? Christophe wonders to Justine
if this is all a good idea. Justine and he have words (maybe
they are tired of each other and need a break). Christophe
agrees and leaves. Justine calls Linderoff (the art dealer).

She is selling a Tang Vase. This is how she is planning on
getting Carl out of town. Justine is thrilled that Carl fell
into her trap and will be out of town tonight.

"So, Carl will be in New York and Rachel will be home alone," she
says as she admires her new dagger [and a big one, by the way],
"Yes, oh I do the avenging angel so well."

FREEZE FRAME

I hope this covers everything. It was a busy day for a Tuesday!

I leave on holidays May 20 and will return in time to do my
update June 13. I would like to extend my thanks to Anna (my
Tuesday counterpart) for filling in for me while I am gone. I
promise to make up for it anytime!

Please feel free to EMAIL me if there is something important
happening that you think I should hear about. If I can get
Internet access on Vancouver Island, I'll come in and take a peek
every now and then.

Have a good one!
