AW update--"The farm" simply won't do for a setting
anymore...now there are two, and two "Hudson farms" to
boot. However, the plot continues apace--Justine gets
weirder. Carl gives Ryan some important information.
Matt shows a great deal more maturity than Michael. I

like this boy! But Michael is so...um...*drule* mature.

I looooooove older men. I hope the new producer/writers

whoever don't go the "Melrose" twenty-something route.

AW's older actors are some of Daytime TV's best!

My comments in [] as ususal.

Matt & Donna: Donna tells Matt about running into Michael, and that
Michael is not just visiting, he's staying.

John's Farm: Michael confronts Charlene & John about
Donna's engagement to Matt. Why didn't they tell him, he
demands. He can't understand it--Matt is just a kid, he
says. When Charlene asks him how old his last date was,
Michael clams up and says that age is not the problem.

Donna is making a huge mistake. Donna is happy, Charlene
insists, and Michael must admit that it seems true.

Carl, Ryan, Spencer in the hospital. Spencer is trying
to say something htat sounds like "die". Ryan thinks
Spencer is afraid he's going to die.

Christophe on the phone: Speaks to Justine's doctor,
about her growing troubles. She is obsessed, he says, and
she doesn't know who she is at times. The Doctor says he
must see her, because she has become violent before. The
doctor is sending some medication for Justine, in the
meantime. Justine enters and says it is time to pay
Rachel and Carl a visit. When Christophe balks, she
reminds him that she saved him from a stiff prison
sentence in order to take advantage of his skills. He
vows his loyalty, but Justine reminds him who is in
charge. [I think it would be better if she dropped the
bad British accent]

Rachel & Candy: Cory manse: Rachel questions the new
maid about the bud vase and missing picture. Ditzy Candy
denies all knowledge of said items, and Rachel gives her
the night off.

John on the phone with Ryan: Ryan wants to know about
Spencer's condition. John explains that Spencer knows
what's going on...Ryan wishes he could understand him,
too. John advises Ryan to talk to Spencer, try to figure
to what's bothering him. Carl says Spencer has much to
say "to both of his sons" [sniffle]. Ryan tells Spencer
that he loves him, and that he'll be all right. Spencer
tries to talk again, but is incomprehensible [I must say
that David Hedison is doing a remarkable job portraying a
frustrated stroke victim].

John's farm: John leaves to go to the hospital and Tomas
appears with Luisa. [she is just TOO cute! And so is
Tomas, of course, goodness I'd like to run barefoot
through that hair!] Michael says he admires Tomas for
what he's done. Tomas races off to cook for Luisa *hyah,
right*. After some pleasantries with Charlene, Michael
makes another mysterious call. He is apologetic that
things are taking "so long". Charlene overhears a
little, and is concerned. Michael denies there is
anything wrong. Michael says he is very happy to be back
in Bay City. Charlene invites Michael to stay for
supper, but he declines. Josie arrives and they exchange
MORE pleasantries. Michael leaves. Charlene is
concerned that Josie is not eating or sleeping properly.

Tomas comes in and he and Josie are very chummy
indeed. Tomas asks Josie to attend the movies with
Gregory, Luisa and him. Charlene is delighted to have
some time alone with John.

Matt & Donna: Matt asks why Michael is staying. Donna
makes a few lame excuses, and say Michael was "thrilled".

Donna proceeds to change the subject by making whoopee
but Matt isn't buying. He knows that Michael gave her
grief about their engagement, and stalks off to see
Michael.

Candy & Christophe: Candy wants to know exactly what
Christophe got up to in the bedroom. "Are you kinky or
sumpin?" she wants to know. He tries to shush her, but
then Justine appears disguised as Rachel (it would seem
her disguise is letting her hair down). You can tell
it's Justine because her head never stops bobbing and
weaving all over the place.

Carl & Ryan: Ryan explains to Spencer why he had to
"betray" Grant in the courtroom. It wasn't out of spite
or jealousy, but for Vicky's sake. He knows that Spencer
loves them "equally, but differently" and that Grant is
his real son. Nothing can break that bond. He also says
that Justine died giving him life, and he raised Ryan as
his own son. Thank you, Ryan says. "You were the best
father you could possibly be" Ryan says. Carl slips out
the door.

Justine (as Rachel) tells Candy the bookshelves need
dusting. Candy reminds her about the night off. She
introduces her friend Christophe to "Rachel". Candy
notices the change of clothes, Rachel calls her
impertinent and Candy leaves. Justine is thrilled that
she pulled off the hoax. Just then, Rachel enters and
announces on the phone that she's going to take a walk in
the garden [how very very odd]. Before she can leave,
Carl arrives. "Give me a hug" he says. It doesn't look
good for Spencer he says. He tells Rachel that Ryan
feels responsible for Justine's death. Rachel tells him
that he should be told that Justine did not die then.

Carl calls Ryan and apologises for leaving abruptly.

Carl tells Ryan to come to the Cory house, what he has to
say can't wait.

Justine and Christophe are hiding in the bushes
outside the French doors. [this place has NO
security???].

Matt & Michael: Matt tells Michael that he knows about
the grief he gave Donna about their engagement. Michael
says Matt will have a long wait for his approval--it just
doesn't feel right that Donna and Matt are engaged. Matt
says that Michael no longer knows Donna, and so Michael
doesn't have all the facts. They have resolved their age
differences, and are happier together than apart. Donna
wants Clare at the wedding, Marley and Vicky will be
there, and if he doesn't want to be left out, he better
give Donna some respect. Michael seems to gain a little
respect for Matt, too.

Charlene & John's: Charlene tells John that it's time
for them to remarry. He accepts her proposal.

Ryan Rachel and Carl: Carl tells Ryan that Justine did
not die when he was born. It was Spencer's lie. Ryan is
shocked. He stalks out to the patio, where he barely
misses seeing Justine and Christophe lurking in the
bushes. Carl says Spencer admitted the lie. She was
"banished from his kingdom?" Ryan asks. They don't know
the details of her life, only that she went abroad and
married a count, then died in a boating accident. Ryan is
shocked that she was alive while he was growing up. Carl
says Grant doesn't know either. Ryan says his mother had
him and "walked away. Good for Mom,". Justine, lurking,
tells Christophe that Ryan "doesn't understand".
Ryan is devastated. He leaves. Carl is very sorry
that he hurt him. [You know, just when I've decided that
I'm not much of an HBL fan, PMV pulls off a great
performance like this. It's almost as though Charles
Keating brings out the best in him]

Michael & Clare: Clare says she thinks Matt & Donna are
in love. She'll be happy, she says. Michael says he
hopes so.

Donna's apt: Matt returns and tells Donna that Michael
was a jerk, but realized that Matt was serious, and was
pretty decent at the end. Donna is very pleased that
"someone finally put that man in his place". Matt picks
her up and carries her upstairs.

Justine & Christophe: Justine expresses rage at Carl &
Rachel. He takes the pruning shears from Christophe and
snips Rachel's photograph, then stabs it. [shades of Whatever
Happened to Baby Jane?!]

Justine gives her head one final "whoosh" and FREEZE
FRAME.
