fter giving Joe a lead on his wife's whereabouts,
the double dealing Raines warns Neil that the
captain is armed and dangerous and should be shot on
sight. Meanwhile, a frantic Paulina demands to know
why she and her son are being kept away from Joe. As
John and Felicia enjoy a quiet evening at home, Cass
arrives with a package from L.A. and shows his
sputtering friend that her tender love story has
been mutated into a trashy script full of sex, booze
and car chases. Joe unwittingly plays right into
Raines' hands by electing to pursue the "rogue cop"
without waiting for back-up. Josie heads back to the
precinct house and admits to Gary how Grant managed
to give her the slip. Bobby returns to Bay City and
tells Vicky he had a family emergency which called
him away unexpectedly. Disclosing that she just came
back from Crockett, Vicky icily informs her visitor
she knows his name is not really Bobby Reno.
Eavesdropping on Gary and Josie's agitated
conversation, Raines is perturbed to learn that
Grant is still alive. Bobby reels in shock when
Vicky angrily interrogates him about Shane and Lila.
Later, Bobby gives Tug a large wad of bills and
orders him to keep quiet about Shane. Gary and Josie
warn an astonished Vicky that contrary to published
reports her ex-husband is alive and well and on the
      loose.

Greed is good. Nothing great was ever accomplished by a strong desire to be
on welfare.
