"Bobby" pays a call on an ailing friend. Wary when a
pizza delivery man insists on coming in to deliver
an order, Josie peeks through the window and spots
the stranger's revolver. After leaving a hasty note
for Gary, Josie hustles Grant out of the house
before the armed man can return. Neil offers Paulina
and Dante a ride home from the induction ceremony.
Meanwhile, an ominous warning sends Joe racing off
in search of his family. Panicked when her escort
drives past their turn-off, Paulina demands to be
let out of the car but Neil claims that an emergency
situation has forced them to seek refuge in another
part of town. Felicia and John hit another snag in
their hunt for the perfect house. Donna calls a
family meeting to discuss how best to tell Kirkland
that his father has died. Carl begins to suspect
that the rumors of Grant's death have been greatly
exaggerated. Vicky returns home to questions from
her sons about the missing Bobby. The police
commissioner warns a horrified Joe that his family
was probably kidnapped by a fellow officer.
Cautioning that Joe's life hangs in the balance,
Neil refuses to allow Paulina to call home. Grant is
stunned to realize that his visitor from beyond the
grave was actually Carl in disguise. Later, Josie
discovers that her prisoner has flown the coop.
Commissioner Raines lies to Neil about Joe, then
orders his assistant to shoot the captain on sight.

Greed is good. Nothing great was ever accomplished by a strong desire to be
on welfare.
