Bobby skips town, leaving behind only a short note
of apology for Vicky. Joe abruptly closes the file
on Gabe's murder, setting off a firestorm of
protests from Gary. Jake explains to a skeptical
Chris why he suspects Joe of being on the take.
Meanwhile, Paulina is rattled by another disturbing
phone call. Though Gary reminds his captain that the
case against Grant is riddled with holes, Joe
refuses to reopen the investigation. Jake cautions
Chris not to let Paulina know that they're snooping
into her husband's double life. Determined to get
some answers to her questions about Bobby, Vicky
decides to fly to Texas. Joe and Josie privately
plot their next move in the trap they're laying for
Grease. Paulina tearfully confides to Jake how
terrified she is that Joe is wandering into
dangerous territory. Donna discovers that the money
which vanished from the Harbor Club has mysteriously
reappeared. Dismayed to learn that her daughter is
about to chase after Bobby, a worried Donna warns
that the carpenter has undoubtedly gone off to
another woman and will only end up breaking Vicky's
heart. Chris begins to think that Jake's hunch about
Captain Carlino might be right on the money. Toni
joins Gary on an unofficial stakeout of Snider's
      garage.

Greed is good. Nothing great was ever accomplished by a strong desire to be
