Felicia breaks and enters Michael's farm, in an attempt to find Sharlene,
because Josie will die on the table without Sharlene's O-negative blood.

She hears soft music and goes upstairs. There's laughter behind the
closed bedroom door. Rather than knocking, she opens the door, to find
Michael and Sharlene in bed. They are all quite shocked to see one
another, though Felicia is feeling not just a bit indignant. She blurts
out that Josie's been shot. Sharlene runs to get dressed. Michael and
Felicia go downstairs. They call each other names. He wants to know if
she's going to tell John what she saw. He is decidedly against such a
course of action, if you couldn't guess. Felicia says that John deserves
to know and looks like she can't wait to tell her. Sharlene says that she
called the hospital and that they need to get there this second. They all
leave to go to the hospital, though hopefully Felicia goes back in her own
car, otherwise, imagine the unpleasant small talk.

At the hospital, Michael tries to explain to Felicia what happened between
him and Sharlene (hey Michael, we already know that Felicia knows what a
romp in bed is) but she doesn't want to listen. You wouldn't let me
explain, she snarls. She won't answer him when he asks if she will tell
John. She goes off to comfort Gary, who is crying and terribly upset.

Gabe tries to comfort him, but Gary's not having any of it. He blames
himself, and goes off to the chapel to pray.

Fax has cut his hand on a bullet fragment in surgery, so Morgan is called
in to replace him, because John is operating at the moment, and he feeling
so weak that he's hooked up to an IV. Hmm, sounds like that's actionable
malpractice to me, and it would be no less than he deserved. Creep.

Anyway, Fax is very gloomy. He doesn't think that she'll make it. Morgan
goes in, where he finds John nervously operating, and Courtney squeaking,
"Ooh, there's a bleeder!" every couple of minutes. They decide that
Josie's going to lose one of her ovaries. Every few seconds, she crashes,
and they immediately save her, except for the last time. She crashes and
the do CPR for like, literally ten seconds, and suddenly decide she's
dead. They all stand around and look at her internal organs for a few
seconds. A nurse leaves the room, despondent. Sharlene sees her and is
in anguish, thinking that Josie is dead. But, she's not. She's merely a
spirit, visiting Gary, and seeing the bright light, and what do you know,
Ryan! Guess he really is dead. :( She wants to follow him, but she hears
Gabe's and Sharlene's voices and goes back. Meanwhile, John snaps out of
his stupor and says,"Give me the paddles!" They all look at him like he's
nuts and tell him she's dead. He insists, and immediately brings her back
to life. Morgan asks him how he knew it was a particular kind of
fibrillation. I want to know how come if Morgan knew there was a chance
of that kind of fibrillation, they didn't try it instead of letting her
lie there with her heart stopped for several minutes. I mean, they even
declared a time of death. Give me a break. This was totally cheesy.

Josie is saved. John tells Sharlene. They hug. Michael and Felicia
watch.

Lorna gives a press conference, but gives no details. Gabe asks everyone
to pray for Josie, because she's a great cop and a great person. Gabe
asks Lorna if she's sure that she wants a relationship with a cop. He
remembers the look on his mother's face when she was told that his father
had been shot. He remembers Gary's look tonight. Gabe gets messages from
Cindy, his sister-in-law.

Chris and Rita have an argument about his getting information about the
shooting. Then, they have a semi-touching mother-son moment when he tells
her that he heard how upset she was when he was brought into the
hospital. She actually acted like a real mother, and he's glad. Awww.

Those Madisons are so touchy-feely.
