Subject: AW: Tuesday Update (042595)

Well, here we go, the Another World update for Tuesday, April 25.
I am going to follow the format of some of my counterparts and
group the items together rather than skipping around like the
show does.

Grant/Lorna in Spencer's Apartment: The show begins with Grant
declaring his love for Lorna. Lorna is doubtful and asks Gun-boy
what took him so long to say anything. He says that he just
assumed that she knew how he felt. Lorna is swayed. Grant
encourages her to make love. Lorna resists. Grant blames Morgan
for her changing her mind. He whines about losing everything
(his son, his senate seat, etc). He says he loves her again -
she melts - they head for the bedroom and make love. After,
Lorna turns away from Grant (she is wondering if she has done the
right thing, all the doubts are rushing back in).

A little later, we see Lorna looking out the bedroom window while
Grant lays sleeping on the bed. He awakens and sees she isn't in
bed with him. He whines some more about how tough his life is
and how soooo many people misunderstand him, how she is the only
one who sees what he is going through. Lorna decides it is time
to go. Grant encourages her to stay, saying they would do some
work on his book, she could stay the night, and they could have
breakfast together in the morning. Lorna says she is leaving
anyway and dresses.

They enter the living room. Lorna tries to take the clothes she
packed earlier - Grant insists that they stay. She'll be helping
him with the book and she'll need them. They discuss how Lorna
feels, she has doubts about Grant's declaration of love. She
turns away from his goodbye kiss (it lands on her cheek). He
tells her "Don't think so much." She says, "Don't think so
little." and exits.

John/Charlene/Clara: John is in the kitchen. Charlene enters.
He offers to help her with more chores around the house.
Charlene sees that it is just a cover to mask his concerns about
his mother, Clara. She tells him to call his mother to discuss
her health problems. John is concerned that her health problems
are serious and is worried about "losing her." John and Charlene
discuss Clara's problem and how tough it is on John to deal with
her problems all by himself. Michael would help, if he were
around. John tells Charlene that he thinks it may be Alzheimers.
Charlene offers support and again encourages him to tell Clara
what is going on.

Clara enters. She asks about her grandchildren and Charlene
leaves them alone to talk. John and Clara discuss her episodes
(the incident with the feeding trough, not remembering her name,
Donna wanting to talk to Michael and her forgetting). Clara
discounts them, she is just getting old. John is adamant - he is
concerned and wants her to get tests run. She asks, "What are
you saying?" He suggests that they get it checked out -
together. Clara doesn't want to go to the hospital - she doesn't
like them - John assures her that she will not have to spend the
night. Clara admits she is scared. She wants to know what she
has - John says that it could be many things (ie. small strokes).
Clara asks John if he thinks it could be Alzheimers. John won't
speculate, but assures he will take care of her. She is still
scared. They agree to have the tests run today. They hug, join
hands and leave the kitchen.

They enter the hospital (John, Clara and Charlene). John leaves
to order the tests. Charlene comforts Clara and offers her
support. Clara complains about the color scheme of the hospital.
John returns with a nurse and the nurse and Clara departs to have
the tests run. John and Charlene watch her go. They are
concerned, but optimistic. Charlene assures John all will be
well.

Paulina and the Waitress (Molly)at the restaurant: They discuss
Joe's attributes. Molly thinks that he is a real hunk (I agree,
at least) and Paulina says, "Do you think so?" Molly says she
won't poach on Paulina's territory. Paulina tells her to go for
it, he's all yours. She then tells Molly how Joe is a PI
investigating Jake's death and the circumstances. Molly thinks
that is incredibly sexy and is going to go for Joe. Joe comes
and sits at the table. He tells Paulina he got some minor leads,
but won't discuss them until they are back in Bay City. Molly
openly flirts with Joe, who ignores her. Paulina and Joe leave.

As the discussion with Paulina and Molly is going on, Joe is
having one of his own with a guy named Bob. Bob says that he
sold a plane ticket to Jake, he was going to Paris. Bob
explained how Jake had told him that he wanted to "dump the old
ball and chain" for greener pastures, after he made 75 g's in one
night. Also, hesitantly, he positively id's Jake's picture as
the guy who wanted the plane ticket (even though it was never
paid for).

At Paulina's - Joe and Paulina discuss Paulina's lack of good
housekeeping. She says the reason she hasn't cleaned up is so
Jake can come home and tell her to clean it up (I hope I heard
that wrong) or help her clean it up. They discuss Jake's Dad and
Paulina draws parallels to Jake's life and his Fathers. Joe
reassures Paulina that Jake was happy and had lots more than his
Dad. Paulina thanks Joe for all his help and says "You are the
best thing that has happened to me since Jake died." Joe is
touched. Paulina obviously feels better. Joe can't believe his
is the reason she is feeling better. She is optimistic regarding
the case and is sure that they will clear Jake, "the Man of Her
Dreams". Joe doesn't want her to stop looking for another man
and tells her so. Paulina (changing the subject, kinda) asks
about his conversation with Bob. He puts her off. Paulina asks
if he is stalling. He says no, he just wants to do a good job.
When she asks him when she can expect a progress report, he tells
her to expect it later today.

Morgan and Lorna at Lorna's Apartment: Morgan has come to change
Lorna's bandage. Lorna says, "Touch my finger, you die." Morgan
is crushed (he was using this as an excuse to get close to her).
As he goes to leave, Lorna says, "Wait."

We see that Grant has sat down to write his book. He starts by
blaming everyone but himself for what has happened. Then he asks
himself, "Is that too depressing. I wonder . . . Lorna would
know." He starts to call her - but puts down the phone.

Lorna invites Morgan to stay for a "bite to eat". As they
discuss what they are going to eat (like a old married couple, I
may add) Grant calls (I guess he changed his mind about changing
his mind). He gets the answering machine. Morgan and Lorna
listen for a second or two, and then Lorna turns down the volume
so they can't hear him. Morgan says, "I win" and Lorna says that
she is just on a lunch break and that the days of her being on 24
hour call are over. So, what is Morgan making for dinner??

To Grant's disgust, Lorna's answering machine hangs up on him.
Grant thinks about when he and Lorna made love - then grabs his
keys and leaves the apartment - FREEZE FRAME.

Well, how did I do?? This is my first update, so I would
appreciate any feedback. You can EMAIL me at

I'll just go back to lurking for 2 weeks . . .
