Subject: Aw: tuesday update! 04/18/95

Hello, everyone. This is the AW Tuesday update for 04/18/95.
This is my first time updating, and let me say I'm pleased to join
the elite coterie of AW updaters! :-)

=========>>>>>>>>>  And here we go.......

THE FARM

Matt and Donna enter loaded down with packages. They are in a good mood,
laughing and giggling together. They sneak upstairs to the attic to
make love. Clara and John enter, and talk about how Clara is settling
in and making herself at home. John remarks on the fireworks that will
occur when Michael finds out that Donna is marrying Matt Cory.

WALLINGFORD'S

Morgan and Frankie are at a table, looking at a book about dating. Joe
telephones Frankie long-distance: he is in the Carribean tracking down
Eberhardt. He's found her -- Eberhardt appears and makes a beeline for
Joe, the most attractive man in the place. Joe tells Frankie he's
spotted Eberhardt, and will keep her updated. Back at Wallingford's,
Cass and Morgan are talking about how men and women seem to speak different
languages. Morgan tells Cass he thinks he's lost his touch with women.

CORY MANSION

Rachel and Carl are home when Felicia comes to visit. She is visibly upset.
Apparently Anna Marie has disappeared -- just up and left with all her
things, and without saying goodbye. Felicia asks Rachel: "What did you
say to Annie?" (to make her leave). Rachel expresses concern, and Felicia
tells them Anna has left a note.

JUSTINE'S SUITE/HOTEL ROOM

Justine and Christophe are having tea. Christophe worries that Annie's
continued presence in Bay City could become a liability. Justine
congratulates him on thinking ahead, and says she had exactly the same
thought -- "So I got rid of her." (meaning Annie). Justine then asks
Christophe what he's managed to discover about Carl and Rachel's marriage.
Christophe says Carl is devoted to Rachel. Justine angrily replies "That's
a lie!"

CORY MANSION

Carl reads aloud the letter from Anna Marie. In it, Anna says she's been
blessed with a new beginning, and that she's decided to return to Europe
with Fiona. She thanks Felicia for all her kindness and empathy. Felicia
worries, says that it sounds more like a "running away-note" than a
goodbye note, and that the whole business with Justine must have scared Annie.
Rachel and Carl then inform Felicia about Justine's "death" in a boating
accident on Lake Como ten years ago. They all express relief. Carl asserts
"For all of us, this chapter is well and truly closed."

JUSTINE'S SUITE/HOTEL ROOM

Justine denies Christophe's findings about Carl's feelings for Rachel.
She claims he's been misinformed -- that Carl is a master manipulator, and
of course he would "mask his distaste" for the woman he married until he
gets what he wants from her, and then he'll leave her. "That's the way
it's done," says Justine. Christophe expresses alarm that Justine plans
on getting further involved in this situation first-hand, saying "This could
be very dangerous." Justine says that only she can uncover the truth about
Carl's marriage.

THE FARM

Clara expresses pleasure at how nice it is to be home. She and John talk
some more about Michael and his anticipated reaction. After a short while,
they leave with Gregory to go to the barn for something. Matt and Donna
enter. Matt asks Donna why she changes the subject every time Michael's
name comes up. Donna pretends she doesn't know what he means.

WALLINGFORD'S

Morgan, Cass and Frankie talk about dating. Morgan says that while he was
playing the field, women flocked to him, but now that he's looking for a
serious relationship, it's like he has leprosy. He also says that the fiasco
with Brett taught him what he doesn't want in a relationship, and he tells
Cass and Frankie that their example show to him that a good relationship is
possible.

CORY MANSION

Carl, Rachel and Felicia express relief that Justine is dead. Rachel needles
Carl about not having told her about her resemblance to Justine. Carl
tells Rachel that she is nothing like Justine in any way that matters.
Felicia gets up to leave. They invite her to lunch, but she begs off.
Carl asks her how Lorna is doing. Felicia says that if only Lorna could
get over Grant, she would be available to Morgan. They chit-chat a bit more,
and then Felicia leaves. Rachel and Carl are finally alone, and they smooch
and giggle together.

THE FARM

Matt and Donna are still talking about Michael. Donna admits that she is
wary of bringing up his name because she is afraid of upsetting Matt.
Matt says he doesn't feel at all threatened by her past relationship.
He reminds her that Michael hasn't been around for two years. She asks
him if he's been talking to Victoria. John comes up and asks Matt for his
help in finding the water valve, and they both leave. Clara comes in.
Donna asks her to tell Michael that she (Donna) has something important to
tell him, when next Clara talks with him on the phone. Donna also asks
her to let Donna be the one to tell Michael about her engagement. Clara
agrees.

THE CARRIBEAN

Joe is lounging in the sun. He remembers when he and Paulina went back and
visited the cabin where Paulina last saw Jake alive, and how upset she was
that she and Jake didn't leave for home at the same time. If they had, "I'd
still have my Jake," Paulina mourns. Joe also remembers how Paulina expressed
faith in Jake's love for her: "No way was Jake running away with that money."
Eberhardt comes up and offers Joe drinks. They chat. She complains about
how bored she is. Joe suggests a game. He'll ask her to tell him all about
the last time she spoke with Jake McKinnon, and she'll answer. She narrows
her eyes at him and sneers "I knew you were too cute to be real."

WALLINGFORD'S

Morgan tells Frankie how he ended it with "the L word" -- Lorna. Morgan
says he has a date with another intern (Valerie) and he is bringing her
to Wallingford's. Frankie says that isn't such a good idea -- what if
Felicia sees them? Valerie arrives. Introductions are made. Felicia
comes up, and Morgan precipitously leads Valerie off to another corner of
the bookstore.

JUSTINE'S SUITE/HOTEL ROOM

By telephone, Christophe is checking up on the whereabouts of Carl and Rachel,
who have gone to the Harbor Club for lunch. Justine tells Christophe to make
reservations for her. Christophe worries she is taking a risk: "Carl may
see you." Justine promises she will be discreet and just hang back and
observe C & R. Christophe alludes to their original plan, which was for
her to stay in hiding while he conducts an investigation. Justine replies
"For the moment your investigation is over. Now mine begins." Christophe
expresses concern: "You know what the doctor said after your last episode.
You are to avoid stress at all costs." Justine sneers "What do doctors
know? This illness was the result of a broken heart, which only Carl can
mend."

THE FARM

Clara and Frankie enter. Clara and Gregory go upstairs, and John and Frankie
make chit-chat. Matt comes up, and he and John wander off to do something
about that water valve. Clara comes downstairs and answers the ringing
phone. It's Michael. She reassures Michael that she remembers what he told
her. Michael has a cold, and can't talk, so he will talk to his mother later.
They exchange endearments and hang up. (Throughout this conversation we
only see Clara's end of it.) Donna enters the room. She is disappointed
that she couldn't get a chance to talk to Michael, but Clara reassures her
that she didn't say anything about the engagement. Clara gives Donna
Michael's phone number. (Like she didn't have it already?)

WALLINGFORD'S

Felicia makes catty remarks to Cass about Valerie. She gets Morgan off to
one side and asks "Who's the little chippie?" Morgan says Valerie is a
very nice girl, but when Felicia says yes, but "she's no Lorna," Morgan has
to agree. Felicia asks Morgan what happened with Lorna. Morgan says he
got tired of how Lorna was always running back to Grant. Valerie comes
up to the table, and she and Morgan laugh over a book called "The Working
Couple's KamaSutra." Felicia seethes. She makes an urgent phone call to
Lorna telling her to come to Wally's right away.

THE HARBOR CLUB

Rachel and Carl are having lunch. They are very happy. Carl says how
delightful it is when feelings of love are mutual. Rachel suggests ordering
nothing but aphrodisiacs for lunch. Carl seconds the notion, and Rachel
again tells him "I love you, you know." Justine and Christophe enter the
Harbor Club and sit at a nearby table. She is wearing a big hat and dark
sunglasses. Christophe remarks on the astonishing resemblance. Justine
says that she and Rachel are nothing alike, and that Rachel clearly has
led a very protected life. The waiter comes to their table and Justine
orders a drink called strega (sp?). Rachel and Carl are at their own
table, and when the waiter passes by with a trayful of drinks, Carl notices
the strega and comments that he hasn't seen that drink in years. Carl and
Rachel then toast to being free of Justine.

THE CARRIBEAN

Joe and Eberhardt spar verbally. Eberhardt remarks upon how she hates Paulina
"because she lived." Joe tells E what a harsh lady she is. He then
informs E that Jake died in a car crash, which she didn't know before.
Eberhardt laughs delightedly, and remarks "Sometimes things turn out just
the way they should." Joe expresses distaste at her heartlessness.
Eberhardt then tells him that Jake never really loved Paulina, that Donna
Hudson was his "back-door woman" and that he was planning to run off with
all the money and start a new life somewhere else. Joe is astonished, and
demands to know if she is being straight with him. "Scout's honour" E replies.
Joe rushes off. Eberhardt smirks and says "Now we're even, Jake."

THE FARM

Clara is playing with Gregory. She suddenly feels unwell and has to
