It's exam time, so I have to keep this week's update short &
sweet. Okay, I can't seem to get things shorter. Just a great
show. Especially Vicky & Grant's scenes. Boy, she's got him by
the short & curlies!

Tomas is speaking to Maggie on the phone. Maggie's mother Cecile
has been in an accident so Maggie is off to Monaco to be with
her. [hyah--right] Josie arrives and Tomas tells her what's happened.
He
loves Maggie, he says, and she'll only be gone a couple of weeks.

Josie runs off, suddenly upset.

Amanda & Evan arrive at the Cory manse. Amanda is upset that she
married someone like Grant. Evan tries to comfort her, but she
asks "What does that SAY about me?"

Lorna & Morgan in the empty courtroom: Morgan is shocked to find
that Lorna's sympathy is still with Grant. "He was just
devastated," she says.

Grant & Vicky: Vicky tells Grant that Alistair never saw a
thing. Grant tells Vicky she got what she wanted. "Justice is
what I wanted." she says. He was only after revenge, from the
first breath Kirkland took. His career is over, she says.

"Served up for lunch in Washington." Grant suddenly turns to
her and says [get THIS!]. "You could end all that. I could be a

better person--if you'll just help me." [huh?huh?huh?huh? Has
this man NO SHAME? AUGGGGHHH! After all his slimy antics? My
God, the man has not a shred of pride or dignity--but what
balls!] Vicky is incredulous. "Let's have a reality check" she
says. He begs for several more minutes. [VERY Satisfying, I must
say.]

Morgan & Lorna: Morgan is incredulous too. I still love Grant,
Lorna says. Morgan says what she feels is not love. She wants
to help Grant through this--no one else will. Morgan says he
tells her that all she wants to do is be Grant's slave, to prove
her love to him so that Grant will not walk over her again.

Evan & Amanda: Amanda says she want's to let go of Grant, of her
dreams of a life with him. When she looked at Grant on the
stand, she says, she felt nothing--no guilt, no grief. Ally
trusted Grant, too, she says. Evan says he'll help explain to
Ally -- Amanda says that is becoming a habit. Evan says he lied
as much as Grant did. Amanda says that Evan owned up to his
lies, and he helped her when she needed him, and that night she
realized something she couldn't quite admit.
Carl comes in looking for Rachel. He is angry that Evan is
there, and shocked when they tell him that Grant confessed to
shooting himself. Carl goes off to find Rachel, telling Evan to
be gone when he gets back. [awfully snooty for a reformed arch-
villain, IMHO]

Tomas and Josie: Josie has told Tomas about breaking up with
Ian. He was asking a lot of you, Tomas says, to leave her new
career and family. He was afraid she'd be killed, Josie says,
and he didn't understand families.

Matt, Vicky, Bridget and Ryan: Everyone is looking for Vicky--to
celebrate, but Ryan obviously had more romantic plans. Carl
arrives. Carl is looking for Vicky too. Carl is obviously upset,
Ryan wants to know what's going on. Carl says he feels as if his
whole life is falling apart--all the trouble with Grant, the pain
he caused. He is thinking of Ryan's mother(Justine) and he can't
stop. [uh oh]. Justine has been dead for 25 years, Ryan says.

But she made quite an impression--Carl replies. Grant's ways are
very like hers--she had a dark side, he says, and it's probably
not over for any of us.

Morgan & Lorna: Grant needs someone who will not slam him when
he's down, Lorna says. You think you have some kind of sacred
bond, Morgan says. Lorna describes Grant's trials and
tribulations -- he was desperate--driven-- he just needs
professional help. Morgan says she's the one who needs the help.

Vicky & Grant: Vix is still lording it over Grant. She gives a
different account of Grant's activities than Lorna's. You think
you're smarter than everyone--but Ryan is smarter. You fell right

into his trap. You have no
wife, no career, no mistress and no son. "Kirkland will always be
my son!" he says, "The child deserves two parents." "He will
have them, she says, "I'm one and Ryan is the other." Vicky then
pushes Grant's wheelchair out to the bailiff and says "He's all
yours, but be careful with him...he's not well."

Morgan & Lorna: Lorna says she doesn't need help. She trusts
Grant. Morgan says she needs a shrink to find out WHY she does. Vicky
comes in and tells Lorna that Grant is on his way back to the
hospital. "You will probably want to and tuck him in. But take
some advice and don't' do it. I don't need to help you, I don't
like you I never will. But you're a human being, you should mate
with one--not a weasel. And you don't have to look too far."

Vicky looks at Morgan, who looks embarrassed. Vicky leaves and
Lorna looks at Morgan as though seeing him for the first time.

Evan & Amanda: Evan asks Amanda for another chance. Amanda tells
Evan that her life can't involve a man right now. She didn't
love him before, and she doesn't love him now. I know that, he
says. She's not ready to talk about relationships, love or the
past. "But I might be ready to talk about dating." They joke
about getting the first kiss out of the way. Amanda tells him to
"go for it". He does. [jeez, wot a letdown *snivel*]

Carl & Ryan: Carl's had a fight with Rachel. Sometimes the past
causes regret, he says. Ryan is trying to find out what's going on,

but just then, Vicky arrives. Carl proposes a toast to
Vicky, her children and Ryan. He leaves, promising Ryan they'll
talk tomorrow. Vicky starts to plan a romantic tryst, but Ryan
tells her they are not alone. Matt, Donna & Bridget enter with a
cake & champagne, singing "Happy "not guilty" to you!" Vicky
tells them to get lost because she's trying to seduce Ryan. [nice
work if you can get it]. Just before she shuts off the lights,
Donna tells Ryan "Blow out those candles, you don't want to start
a fire..." [har dee har har].

Josie & Tomas. Josie thanks Tomas for his comfort. He tells
her that seeing her upset about Ian made him feel better because
at least Maggie is coming back. Josie thinks that's rude--he's
feeling better because her life is a mess. But, she admits, she
feels better too. When all else fails, they make a dash for the
fridge and "chocolate".

Grant on the phone: One of his "colleagues" hangs up on him. He
calls Lorna, but gets her machine. A nurse & doctor come in ...
"I'm a friend of Morgan Winthrop," the doctor says. Grant
demands his messages "I'm not you're secretary." the nurse says.
Grant gets indignant, but he also gets something we've all wanted
to give him--a good jab in the old keester. *snort* it hurts so
much he can't sit down!

Morgan tries to get close to Lorna, but she pushes him away and
runs off. She's clearly confused by her feelings for him.

Justine has arrived in Bay City. The bell hop is rude. "An
inauspicious beginning" she says. [she speaks just like Carl!]
She calls the hospital and get's Grant's room number. She will
visit him soon. FREEZE FRAME.

And that's it for Monday. ;-)

Oh! Wait...I almost forgot. Ryan and Vicky make love. Lots of
skin -- his (hubba hubba) and hers. I think the love handles we
all noticed last time are GONE. He looks VERY GOOD, indeed. And
so does she...but too thin. Great kissing, touchy-feely sort of
stuff going on. Sly smiles and tender sighs. Pretty hot stuff,
even for daytime TV...[Boy--there was no flesh-coloured body
suits either... *sweat* wink wink nudge nudge say no more]
At one point it looked like, well, it looked like... NAH.

Interesting, if you like that sort of thing...=|8-O ;).

Now if it had been Evan, well, then ... o then! (Gracious, I
am asking for a severe roastin', ain't I? I don't care. My
poopsie is history. :)

Oh--I forgot the best line-- well, actually, the best scenes
had no dialogue!
