Cindy corners Grant in a linen closet and aims her
dagger at his heart. Ignoring angry protests from
Vicky, Amanda continues to probe for the intimate
details of Bobby's past and present. Baring his
chest and sinking to his knees, a babbling Grant
begs Cindy to kill him. Paulina is outraged to
discover how her family hid from her the fact that
their insurance won't cover the damages from the
fire. Meanwhile, Joe decides to keep mum about the
large sum of cash he found in his car. After Cindy
elects not to polish him off, Grant wanders back
into the day room and begins orating to Gary on the
subject of gun control. John and Felicia come to
another impasse in their search for a permanent
place to live. Paulina pleads with Joe to stop
keeping secrets from her. Sofia accepts a job offer
from Felicia, then shyly confides how one of her
romantic fantasies recently came true. Cindy tells
Gary she's certain Grant's breakdown was triggered
by some kind of drug and speculates that the effects
may be irreversible. Joe receives an ominous threat
during a late night phone call.

Greed is good. Nothing great was ever accomplished by a strong desire to be
on welfare.
