>>Hey there!

>Happy early Shamrock Day!

>Here's the scoop for Wednesday, March 12, 1997:
>
>
>ONE RANDOM SCENE AFTER ANOTHER
>This scene was thrown in the middle of the show with no follow-up, so I
>guess we'll start there.
>
>Amanda shows up at the police station and corners Neil about information on
>the McNamara murder investigation. He calls her on her aggresiveness, and
>asks if she storms into all her stories like the way she stormed into the
>police station. She tries to go back to the original subject and asks what
>they're doing to find Gabe's killer. Neil responds by slightly flirting
>with her. Taken aback, she continues her questioning by asking about the
>possibility of Grant being the culprit. He shoots back at her that she
>would know if Grant were capable--isn't he her ex-husband? Amanda is
>apalled that Neil keeps twisting his way out of her questions and he
>responds by saying that he's used to dealing with the reporters. He walks
>away from her, and Amanda follows him out, looking for the true story.

>VICKY IS REUNITED WITH AN OLD FRIEND--THE POLICE CAPTAIN'S DESK ;-)
>Bobby shows up at Vicky's with donuts. He finds her already dressed, up and
>running. He asks her what's going on--he just got up, and she's all ready
>for lunch! She tells him she had to wake up early to get Steven and
>Kirkland up for school, and now she has something important to do: she's
>going down to the station to get Jake out. The two leave, and walk into
>Joe's office, completely interruptting his phone call with Paulina. She
>yells at him to get Jake released, but Joe won't bend the rules. Vicky and
>Bobby try to convince him that Jake would never hurt them, and Grant is the
>one who bombed the truck. Joe is unrelenting though...he tells them that he
>is checking up on Grant, but until there is definite proof, Jake has to stay
>under house arrest. Bobby even defends Jake by saying that although he's
>swung at him a few times, Jake would never try to kill either of them, but
>Joe just screams back that he's sick and tired of amateurs trying to tell
>him how to do his job. They thank him for nothing and walk out of the
>office. Vicky and Bobby flirt a little by the stairs, and they realize they
>have to go back to their lives now. Vicky is off to Jake's place, and Bobby
>is off to do a job (more on that below...). They go to kiss, but Vicky
>playfully turns away before he can kiss her, and she runs off. Bobby
>leaves, a (goofy, lovestruck) smile on his face.
>

>MEANWHILE, BACK ON GILLIGAN'S ISLAND...
>Rachel has her bags packed, but Carl catches her. He asks if she's leaving,
>and she says that she is...she has a life to get back to in Bay City. Carl
>tempts her to stay on the island with him forever, away from all their
>troubles in Bay City. She's tempted, but she won't do it. They need to
>resolve their problems at home, both with the rest of the Cory's and with
>Grant. Carl goes to walk her out, and the two come face to face with Matt,
>who is furious. The three go back into the house, and Matt freaks out that
>Rachel has gone back to Carl. (Oy vey....do we have to go through THIS
>again?!?!) He tries to turn Rachel against Carl, but Rachel is astounded
>that Matthew would say such things. Matt then stoops to an all-time low,
>and asks her what she thinks Mac would think of her new husband. Rachel's
>jaw drops...they argue, and Matt leaves in a huff. Rachel and Carl leave
>soon afterward, realizing that they have much to deal with.
>

>HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN FIT IN JAKE'S APARTMENT ANYWAY?!?!
>Gary and Josie are at Jake's, excited that their plot against Grant is going
>along just swimmingly. Jake's excitement is muted by what he saw at Vicky's
>house the night before. Gary and Josie try to cheer him up about Bobby and
>Vicky's kiss, but Jake is just beside himself. Suddenly, there is a
>pounding on the front door. From outside in the hallway, Grant screams to
>Jake to let him in, or he'll break the door down. Gary and Josie scuttle,
>and hide in the bedroom. Jake lets Grant in, and for a moment, Grant is
>speechless. Grant brings up the party the night before. He talks about
>Vicky and Bobby, trying to get a rise out of Jake, but Jake doesn't give in
>to his game. Grant makes a few implications that Jake was at the party, but
>Jake explains to him that he's under house arrest and he can't leave his
>apartment. They yell at each other for awhile, and Grant pushes Jake down
>onto the chair and grabs his leg, looking for the house arrest anklet. Sure
>enough, Jake has one on, and once Grant realizes that it must have been
>"Hal" he saw outside, he freaks out and leaves suddenly. Gary and Josie run
>out and exchange high-fives with Jake. Jake is fuming though...he wants
>Grant nailed to the wall YESTERDAY. Gary and Josie calm him down and
>explain to him that they have to play their cards right if they're going to
>get Grant's confession. Gary says that Grant will never confess to Jake,
>even though Jake thinks he was THIS close to getting a confession. Gary
>knows Grant won't tell Jake anything, but Gary does know one person Grant
>will trust with the truth--Sharlene. Josie is furious--there is NO WAY
>she's going to get Sharlene involved in this anymore than she already is.
>Jake decides to give them a little privacy, and goes into the bedroom. Gary
>and Josie argue, but Josie is adamant that Sharlene not get hurt anymore
>then she already is. He tells her how Grant caught Sharlene listening in on
>his conversation to get Cindy. Josie can't believe nobody told her about
>this, but Gary tells her that Sharlene is the only way to get Grant off the
>streets and in jail. Jake comes back out, and Gary tells the two of them
>his plan to nail Grant. (Of course, WE don't get to hear it...let's hear it
>for building suspense!!) Gary and Jake are all set to get to work, but
>Josie ponders the idea of whether to call her mother or not to get her help.
>Gary holds the phone out to her with a choice: call your mom and nail
>Grant, or don't and Grant goes free. Josie stares at the phone, indecisive.
>
>
>BACK AT THE FARM....
>Donna comes downstairs and sees Sharlene doing her physical therapy. They
>talk about the party the night before, and Sharlene's progress, and Donna
>puts Sharlene at ease. But Donna casually brings up how proud Michael is of
>how far Sharlene has gone in her progress. Sharlene catches on to her
>little game, and calls her on it: if Donna wants to know when Sharlene is
>leaving, then why doesn't she just come out and ask her? Donna does ask
>her, and Sharlene says she doesn't know, and she'll leave when she's ready.
>It's not easy on any of them, after all. Suddenly, Sharlene has a
>revelation. It's time for her to get on with her life. She thanks Donna.
>Even though she knows Donna said those things to her for purely selfish
>reasons, she made Sharlene realize that she has to start her life again at
>some point, and now is the time. Donna leaves, and goes to the Harbor Club,
>and Sharlene sits Gregory down, explaining to him that they are returning to
>the apartment. Greg is apprehensive. He wants to spend time with his Uncle
>Mike and his Dad and he wants to live in a nice big place like the farm.
>Sharlene tells him that he can still do all those things, but they've
>imposed on Uncle Mike long enough, and since Sharlene can somewhat walk now,
>it's time for them to return home. Gregory finally gives in, and leaves
>just as the phone rings. It's Josie--they need her help to nail Grant, and
>Sharlene listens to their plan.
>
>
>TURNING "BEATING AROUND THE BUSH" INTO AN ART FORM....
>Donna goes to the Harbor Club where Bobby is waiting for her. It seems
>Donna wants to make a few renovations to the Harbor Club, but she's not sure
>what. Bobby reluctantly takes some measurements, while she makes a few
>snide comments about hired help, and the "lower class" that her daughter
>seems to be hanging out with. Bobby just rolls his eyes, and continues
>measuring. Donna brings up how quickly Bobby and Vicky left the night
>before, and implies that maybe he spent the night. Bobby tells her that if
>she just wants to know if they slept together, then she should just ask.
>(Didn't I just type those same words a few paragraphs ago?!) She does, and
>he replies with "none of your business". Donna is frustrated, as Bobby goes
>back to his measurements.
>
>
>MORE FRUSTRATING GAMES...
>Vicky shows up at Jake's with a bag of junk food. At first, Josie won't let
>her in, but Jake and Vicky convince her to bend the rules just for ten
>minutes. she comes in, and Josie goes in the bedroom to give them some
>privacy. They embrace, and start immediately in on the junk food. He
>brings up the party, and Bobby. Vicky begins to explain about Bobby, but
>she can't get the words out. Jake tells him it's okay--she doesn't have to
>say anything, he understands. Vicky asks when he's going to freak out on
>her, but Jake says it's not a big deal...he got over Paulina, and he'll get
>over Vicky too. She talks about the charges against him, and what they're
>going to do, but Jake just edges closer to her...almost as if to kiss her.
>He sits back down, and tells her that it would be best if she stopped coming
>around for awhile. Vicky is floored, and a little upset. Jake just tells
>her he has things he has to do, and Vicky should just stay away for a little
>while. Vicky is left speechless, and Josie comes back in and tells them
>that time is up. Vicky goes to give Jake a kiss good-bye, but he just turns
>his face away before she can. (ooo...OUCH!) Hurt, Vicky leaves. She stops
>by the door, and Jake stands up as if he's ready to say something. Instead,
>Vicky just leaves, and Jake closes the door behind her, dropping to his
>knees. Josie comforts him: she knows it hurts, but it will all turn out
>good in the end...Grant will get what's coming to him and everyone can be
>happy again. Jake just sits there, upset.
>
>
>AND THE CONSPIRACY BEGINS
>Carl and Rachel return home. She tells him that even though she wants to
>share a bed, a room, a house, and a life with him again, she has to talk to
>Matt and the rest of the family, and get this whole mess squared away. Carl
>is upset that he has to go back to the hotel, but he realizes it's the best
>for everyone involved right now. Rachel goes upstairs, and Carl gets ready
>to leave, when the doorbell rings. He answers it, and it's Gary. Gary
>brings him into the living room, and closes the doors, so they can talk in
>private. (Yeah...right...) Gary tells him that they are putting together a
>plan to destroy Grant. Rachel walks downstairs, wondering why the living
>room doors are closed. She listens in (good job, Gary....closing those
>doors gave you a whole heck of a lot of privacy, huh?) and overhears Gary
>tell Carl that they need Rachel's help to snag Grant. Rachel listens in shock.
>
