Jake's Crusade:

Jake walks in on Blair telling Matt she might need some time off. Jake
tries to catch her in a lie and implies that they are keeping secrets.
Matt leaves. Jake explains to Blair that he will keep at her until she
agrees to the expose. Blair leaves to go see Carl. She asks his help in
getting Jake off her back. Meanwhile, Jake is prowling around outside the
Cory mansion. Carl refuses to help Blair. She threatens to tell Rachel
about the hit he had on Grant. Or she could talk of their past relationship.
Blair leaves and Jake comes bursting in through the patio doors. He tries to
get the scoop from an unwilling Carl. Carl begins to ask Jake a series of
questions: Does making money equate the success of his paper? Does he
have
something to prove to Paulina? OR....does he think Vicky will come back if he
proves his worth? This last question hits a sore spot on Jake. Carl warns

Jake that he will make more enemies if he villifies him...including Vicky.

Morgan and Courtney;

Morgan and Courtney start to kiss when she backs off. They talk. Why does
she
tense up whenever they are trying to get close? Morgan asks Courtney to
open
up to him about what took place on the roof with Andrew when she is ready.
Courtney admits her love for Morgan and they make love. Afterwards, the
phone
rings. It is Dr. Newman updating Morgan on John's condition. Courtney is
crying - she wants things back to how they were before. Courtney confesses
how she told Andrew "No" that night but he wouldn't listen and he later raped

her. She breaks down crying.

Josie and Gary:

Josie gets a call - the Govenor of Illinois will be presenting her with a
citation tomorrow on the steps of the police station. She is thrilled. When
Gary is left alone in the apartment, he practices a proposal.

At the Hospital:

Felicia continues to talk to John and makes sure he is comfortable. Sharlene
introduces Gregory to Dr. Newman who gets mad when he hears that the
doctor
is a friend of both his parents. How can that be when they don't even live

together? Greg shouts. He throws another fit when Sharlene suggests they go
visit John. Greg blames Sharlene for his dad going to Africa and getting sick.
Dr. Newman tells Sharlene that John has the most serious strain of malaria and
they are still testing his response to the medication. Dr. Newman asks her to
join him for a bite to eat over at Carlino's. Sharlene visits John and tells
him to get better for Gregory's sake. Michael takes Greg for an ice cream.
He tells him about his operation and how important Nick was in helping him get
batter. Felicia brings John a visitor - his friend from the docks. His
friend tries to cheer him up by talking about a fishing trip. John admits that
if his malaria is the strain he thinks it is, he might never get to go fishing
again.
