Trying a new method of dumping this into my newsreader--hope it works!

A new opening--I like it! I was a little leery, at first, but they are
great

shots. Especially that of Charles Keating walking by Grant, the single
shot

of Victoria Wyndham is mahvelous, dahling. The group shot of the young
crowd

is good, and oh, heck, I' liked all of it. It's just too bad they
couldn't

update the theme to fit it. Still, good job!

Gary's Apt: Josie and Gary discover that Gabe has revoked the
regulation

which forbids fraternization between officers. "We're legal!" Josie
says.

She rhymes off all the things they can do in public -- Gary says Blair
is

cramping their style. Now they can stay at his place, Josie says.
Normal,

Gary says. [Insert silly scene re: normal red-necks, including
references to

possums, dogs/doghouses and fleas, couch potatoes, watching the game
and an

dubiously risque reference to vacuum cleaners.)
After a quickie, they discuss their new situation. They like
it.

(ewwww...enough already)

Herald: Blair asks Matt what's eating him. Matt is bothered that all
the

major stories at the Herald concern his family. When is it news, and
when is

it gossip? A kidnapping is a kidnapping (Maggie), a murder is a murder

(Morgan) and Felicia is a famous author. It makes for tough decisions,
she

says. Matt is afraid he unconsciously wanted to run the John/Felicia
thing

because of his relationship to John. Blair tells him he needs to get
out of

the office . . . but refuses his invitation to go to dinner. He kisses
her

cheek and leaves.

When Matthew is gone, Carl arrives and reiterates his threat to
give

her away unless she follows orders. Blair says that unless Carl leaves
her

alone, she has some information that Rachel would not like to hear.
Carl

agrees, but says that she must leave his family alone -- her
relationship

with Matthew is finished, or else.

Blair says that Rachel thinks Carl has changed . . . does he
want to

disappoint her? Love changed him in some ways, Carl agrees, but her
love for

Gary Sinclair destroyed her, didn't it? Does Gary know she's in town?
he

wonders. The phone rings. It's Matt, asking Blair to bring a file by
his

house...Carl motions to Blair that she'd better not do it, and Blair
refuses.

She'll be fired, she says, and Carl says he doesn't care. He leaves,
saying

he'll be in touch. Blair just wants to be left alone, she says.
Outside the Herald offices, Blair (Jackie) thinks about Carl's
words.

At the Cory house, Matt is clearly on his way back to work to
find

out what's up.

BCGH: John arrives and bursts into Rita's office, angry about Morgan's

firing. He is very surprised to see Sharlene working there. She says

Gregory will be glad he's home. Would he like an appointment to see Dr

Madison. Rita arrives, and John means to ask her about Morgan.
Sharlene is

sent on an errand. Before she can leave, Fax arrives. He asks her if
she's

any relation to Dr Hudson. She tells him that they are separated. He
tells

her that makes him very happy indeed. When he admits he's flirting
with her,

Sharlene tells him "You just made my day."

He gets on Rita's case about Morgan's firing. She says he was
fired

for insubordination. No one is irreplaceable, she says. Sharlene
arrives and

Rita leaves. Sharlene asks if her working at the hospital is going to
be a

problem. John says she can work wherever she likes. When he asks
about

Gregory she tells him she just came from the daycare, and Gregory is

expecting him.
Rita can be very demanding, John says, "Don't let her get under
your

skin." He leaves.
Later, Rita is praising Fax's skill as a physician. Parents
are very

grateful. After Rita leaves, Fax gives Sharlene an apple for squeezing
him

an appointment with Dr Madison. When he compliments her skin, she says
she

might be dating a dermatologist. He pretends to be very upset at the
news.

BCPD: Cecile is impatient at the police station, while Maggie tries to
pick

her kidnapper out of a line. Raphael takes a step forward. She can't

decide--it might help if he spoke. Raffle gets it wrong by accident or

design, but Maggie doesn't want to identify him. Maggie asks if #2 can

remove his shirt and turn around. She says the kidnapper had a tatoo
of a

spider web on his shoulder, so that can't be him.

Cass knows Maggie is lying, and when they are out of earshot,
he

wants to know if she's protecting her mother, or the "hunk with his
shirt

off". She denies everything and asks to go home.

Gabe tells Joe there's no identification. They can't charge
Cecile

on Cass's statement. He tells Maggie that he knows she lied, and that
when

she changes her mind, she can still come to him.

Maggie tells Cass that she'd appreciate it if he gave her AND
Cecile

a ride home. Cecile hopes it is a new beginning for them.

WALLINGFORD'S: Felicia is signing books--one "customer" confronts her
about

her love life but Felicia puts her in her place. Lorna arrives and
tells

Felicia she never got a chance to tell Gabe she went to see Grant.
Felicia

says Gabe loves her or should...just then someone chucks a rock through
the

window. Rock is wrapped in a paper with WHORE written on it. Felicia
looks

surprised.

Lorna thinks the police should be called in, and Felicia
insists that

Lorna go and talk to Gabe about the rock. Lorna leaves.

	John arrives at the bookstore.

Cory Manse: Paulina asks Rachel what's going on at the chapel. Bad
winter,

Rachel says, it needs some repairs. It's not safe, Rachel says,
Paulina

better stay away. Joe would have a fit if she put herself at risk,
Paulina

agrees. He is great, she adds, but sometimes he's a really bossy and
pushy,

especially where Sofia is concerned.
Just then, Nick and Sofia arrive. Rachel makes an excuse about
leaky

planters on the terrace. She drags Nick off and Paulina tells Sofia
it's too

bad she and Nick have to sneak around. Joe is stubborn, there's
nothing

wrong with Nick. Joe will come around, Paulina says.
Carl comes home and he and Rachel discuss their renewed
relationship

with Paulina. Cass, Maggie & Cecile arrive. Rachel takes Cass off to
show

him a painting, Maggie & Cecile bare claws again. "I'm not finished
with

you, yet," Maggie says.

Street: Nick lets Sofia off down the street from Carlino's. She's
afraid of

being seen with Nick. She's gotta go to work. Nick says she's nuts to
be

planning a wedding for the guy when he treats her like a slave. He's
her

brother, and she loves him. Nick says that's all that matters.

BCPD: Gabe is trying to contact Lorna but she isn't returning his
calls.

When Raphael is leaving, Gabe lets him know that he knows exactly what

happened, and he'd better watch his step. After they sneer at each
other,

Raphael leaves the station.
	Lorna arrives. FREEZE FRAME
