Here is the Another World Update for Tuesday, February 27,
1996. Enjoy!
Jake enters Vic's hotel room. Stephen tells his mom that he
is back - again. Jake tells Vic that Bay City is her home and he
is not going home without her. Your life and your family are in
Bay City and I don't care what you say, family is everything to
you, Jake tells her. Vic tries to explain that without Ryan she
doesn't know what home is and until she does she is going to stay
away from Bay City. Vic also tells Jake that Stephen is weirded
out about Bridget too and they all need some time. They discuss
Grant and how the boys will deal with the whole thing. Jake
tells her that she is going to deal like this like she deals with
everything else and that she doesn't need to do it alone, she has
him, too. They reminisce about Bridget for a few minutes and how
much they will all miss her. Vic asks him to do her a favour, to
go back to Bay City and sell her house. You can't be serious,
Jake says. It doesn't feel like home anymore, not without
Bridget and Ryan. She is sure that is the thing to do. Jake
agrees to sell the house and put her stuff in storage, as long as
she agrees to come back. She agrees, but will not tell him when
she will come back. Jake agrees to sell the house and tells her
that he would do anything for her. Vic tells him that she needs
to ask one more favour.
Rafael is knocking on Maggie's bedroom window. He asks her
why she walked right past him at Sassy's last night. Does she
think she is too good for him now?
Lorna wakes at Gabes, but Gabe himself is already out of bed
and gone. He reenters carrying a bag with coffee and doughnuts
for breakfast telling her that it is a staple in a Cop's life.

Lorna asks him what upset him last night. Gabe tries to get out
of answering by telling it is time for him to go to work. Lorna
tries again to get Gabe to tell her about the phone call, still,
he does not tell her anything. She tells him that she knows
something is bothering him - he was up half the night. Gabe
tells her that he usually works in the wee hours, that he doesn't
need much sleep. He tells her that he has to get to the station,
but Lorna prevents him from going by trying to seduce him. As he
is caving in to her charms, Lorna asks him why is apartment is so
sterile - no pictures?? He tells her that he is not photogenic.

You could sell toothpaste with that smile, she points out, but
not just you, what about pictures of your Mom, dog, etc. Gabe
again covers. Lorna tells him that she is serious, what
happened? He tells her that he met a beautiful redhead that
turned his world upside down and that he is going to need some
time to get his bearings. And then, she question. Just wait and
see, he says and leaves.
Courtney has spent the night with Morgan at the police
station. Cass arrives. Morgan asks Cass to get him out of
there. Cass reaches through the bars and holds his hand.

Courtney tells Morgan she is going to get him some breakfast.

Morgan and Cass discuss the case. Cass points out that if Morgan
continues to let his temper get the best of him - Andrew wins.

Morgan agrees to cool it. Cass takes Courtney aside and tells
her that they need to help him keep it together because things
could get even worse today. The judge could revoke his bail.

Courtney asks him what if they could catch Andrew? What if she
could trip him up? Cass tells her that Andrew is dangerous and
to stay away from him.
Rachel answers the door and admits Tomas. He has come to
see Maggie. Cecile tells him that Maggie isn't up yet. Rachel
tells Tomas that she thought that the two of them weren't seeing
each other anymore. Tomas tells her that they aren't but he had
heard that Maggie had missed a couple of days of candystriping
and school. Did Rachel and Cecile know? They hadn't but Cecile
points out that with everything she went through, it is
understandable. Rachel tells Cecile that she is going to go up
and talk to her, but Cecile stops her, telling her that she has
missed too many opportunities to parent Maggie and would really
prefer to do this herself. Rachel understands and tells her to
make sure Maggie knows that she is loved and to try and find out
what is bothering her.

Maggie tells Rafael not to be so touchy! She never even
noticed him until she was leaving. Rafael tells her that they
were making some pretty heavy eye contact - and who was that
preppie guy she was coming on to? She like then old now, or
what? At that moment, Cecile knocks on the door. Maggie grabs
Rafael, calls for her Mom to come in, and pulls Rafael down on
the bed on top of her and starts to kiss him. Cecile enters and
is shocked to see them together. What the hell are you doing in
my daughter's bedroom, questions Cecile. Just leaving, he
replies. Maggie stops him and tells her Mom that she will see
who she wants when she wants. Really, says Cecile and proceeds
to accuse her of being a little tramp. Maggie reiterates by
telling Cecile that she is the one who has slept around all of
her life. Cecile loses her temper and slaps Maggie. Get out of
here, Cecile tells Rafael and leaves. You can stay as long as
you want, Maggie tells him, you don't have to listen to her, I
certainly don't. Maybe we should order breakfast in bed? Maggie
is visibly pleased with herself. He tells her that perhaps
Cecile is going to tell the family about this. Maggie tells him
they are not her family. He tells her that just because she is
spoiled and filthy rich, it doesn't give you the right to treat
people like dirt. If you don't want to party, you can leave!

Party? Rafael tells her that he came here because he thought she
might need a friend - but she doesn't deserve a friend and as
rotten as her Mother is, she doesn't deserve her either, and that
is really sad. He leaves.
Grant is hanging out in his jail cell. He has a tape
recorder he is recording on. He explains to Kirkland that he is
fine and is living in a "big house" with lots of people. There
is a lot to do there but he still thinks about him. He tells
Kirkland to ask his Mom to bring him to see him and if she won't,
then think about him, okay? Dream about him, cause he will
always be with him. The cell door opens and the guard asks him
if he authorized the use of the tape recorder and takes it away.

Cop killers get no preferential treatment here. Grant tells him
that he has his rights. Not anymore, the guard says smiling, and
when you get to the state pen, you will be lucky to get out of
there alive. Later, Grant is writing a letter to Kirkland when
the guard again approaches him and tells him that he has a
visitor. It is Lorna. He is surprised to see her, why is she
there? She tells him that she knows that he hasn't had many
visitors with Vicky out of town and what he did. Have you seen
Kirkland, he asks, is my son alright? She says that she can't
say. Grant asks Lorna to find Kirkland and give him this letter.

Kirkland needs to know that his father loves him. Lorna tells
him that Vicky left town and no one knows where she is. Grant
tells her to ask Gabe, she is under police protection, ask Gabe
and get this letter to Kirkland. He is counting on her. Lorna
tells him that she doesn't think that she can help him. I don't
suppose anyone can, can they? They briefly talk about her
relationship with Gabe and Grant asks her what she is doing
there. She tells him that she was hoping that he could help her,
could he tell her about his wife? You came here to see me to ask
questions about Gabe's wife? Did you ever meet her, questions
Lorna. Do you know where she lives now? Gabe and I lost touch,
Grant says, I never met his wife.
Meanwhile, Gabe is looking at the picture. He puts it away
and goes to check and see if the prisoner is ready for transport.

Cass goes in to see Gabe. Gabe is sending Morgan to county
jail. Cass is trying to talk Gabe out of sending him there but
Gabe basically tells him to ask the judge. Meanwhile, Morgan is
being prepared to be moved. Thanks for the change of scenery, he
quips. Matt enters. He has come to see if Morgan would like to
make a comment for the paper. Morgan gets on Matt's case about
the lies that the Herald printed about him and tells him that it
doesn't matter what he says, it is going to look bad in the
paper. Matt tells him that the name "Doctor Death" came from the
hospital and that the Herald triple checked the details. Morgan
asks if Matt believes that he is innocent. Are you, asks Matt,
and Morgan tells him that he is, but that would not sell his
papers now, would it? Morgan tells Matt that he was just doing
his job and that no one seems to care about the truth. I do,
says Matt, and asks him to tell him the truth right now, on the
record, Did you kill your patients? Courtney enters and tells
Matt that Morgan needs his friends around him now. Matt tells
her that he is a friend and Courtney tells him that a friend
would not have printed all that trash. Cass enters and asks
Morgan how he is holding up. Morgan tells him that he is fine.

Cass tells him that the judge has not made a decision regarding
his bail, but that they are moving him to the County Correctional
Institution. Courtney rushes into Morgan's arms and Matt looks
shocked. She tells Matt to leave Morgan alone, hasn't he done
enough damage already? It's OK, Morgan tells her, Matt, you
didn't answer my question, do you think that I killed my own
patients? No, I'm convinced that you didn't, he replies, but
there are people who still think that you did, like the board
members at the hospital. Because Rita Madison needed a
scapegoat, my ex-boyfriend Andrew Miller is setting him up, why
don't you print that, Courtney questions. Gabe enters and tells
Morgan that it is time for him to be transferred. I want to go
with Morgan in the van, Courtney requests. Gabe tells her that
is not allowed and she asks him when she can see him again. he
tells her to check with the sheriff's's office. Morgan asks for
a moment alone with Courtney and is given it. He assures her
that he will be fine but is concerned about her, she should trust
Cass, he can help. After a kiss, they take him away. Matt tells
Courtney that he believes her story and that he has an idea what
they can do to help.
Cass enters the Cory Mansion to see Cecile. Cecile tells
Cass about her conversation with Maggie and asks for his help.

She is out of control and need his help. Cass asks if Rachel
could help her. Cecile tells him that she needs his help,
doesn't he even care about his own daughter.

There is a knock on Maggie's door. It is Rachel. She asks
what is going on with her, she is missing school and her
volunteer work. She realizes that she has been through a lot,
but that is no excuse. Maggie tells Rachel that she really isn't
in the mood for another lecture, so if she doesn't mind? Rachel
tells her that she does mind. Rachel tries to get the truth out
of Maggie. Maggie tries to lay the blame on her parents. Rachel
tells her that she cannot blame everything that goes wrong in her
life on her parents, Cecile and Sandy. Cecile and who, asks
Maggie. Rachel tells her that she realizes that Sandy hasn't
been there for her, but it is not fair to take it out on them.

Rachel tells Maggie that she can't understand why she has done
the things that she has done, like stealing from her. Maggie
tells her (as she starts to cry) that she is sorry and that she
never meant to hurt her, she ended up hurting the people she
cared about instead of. Who, questions Rachel. What I did was
unfair, can you forgive me. Rachel forgives her and tells her to
tell her what is bothering her. Do you only love me because I am
your Granddaughter? What kind of question is that? Yes, I think
that I would, because love doesn't have anything to do with
bloodlines or proximity, it has to do with what is inside.

Rachel tells her that when they thought that she was gone, a
light went off in the family, even with Carl, and he isn't even
her Grandfather. Really, Maggie asks. We love you very much and
that is what you have to remember. They hug. Rachel asks her to
come downstairs and join the family. She tells her that Cecile
is worried about her too. Maggie tells her that she does not
want to see Cecile or her absentee father.
Cass tells Cecile that he has his family and it doesn't
include Maggie. They argue about Maggie and telling anyone
about her paternity. Rachel enters and asks about Morgan. Cass
tells her that he is there to ask her to talk to Matt and see if
he can lay off the Doctor Death headlines. She tells him that
she will try. Cecile asks about Maggie. Rachel tells her that
she is still upset and she won't open up to her. They discuss
Maggie and Rachel suggests that Maggie see a shrink. Cecile
tells her that she doesn't know about a shrink but she should
talk to someone (she looks pointedly at Cass).
Cass is knocking on Maggie's door asking for admittance.

She opens the door and Cass tells her that he thinks that it is
time that they get to know each other better.
Andrew enters Matt's office. Matt asks him for the dirt on
Morgan. Matt tells him that he finds it hard to believe that
Morgan would do something like this. Andrew plays it cool and
tells him that sometimes it is who you least expect. Matt tells
him that he and Morgan are friends. Really, questions Andrew.

Matt reaches down and turns on a tape recorder. So tell me, why
do you think that Doctor Morgan Winthrop is a murderer? We see
Courtney standing in the background out of sight.

Guess who is Grant's new roommate? Morgan. They stare at
each other.
Are you sure that you want me to do this? questions Jake.

Positive, says Vic. Whatever, just promise me that you will come
home soon. I won't be gone long, I promise. I'll always know
where to find you Vicky and I'll keep at it until you come back,
I don't want to be some kind of stalker but you know I can be a
nudge. It's worth it, she says, so, you think you can do this
for me? Consider it done. You are the best, she says. No, you
are the best. No, you are. I like you, Jake tells her. You are
okay, she tells him. I love you Vicky, I love you. They hug.

Thanks for this, I'll never forget what you are doing for me. Do
you know what I will remember the most, I love the way your hair
smells. They break apart and Jake goes to the door and leaves.

Vic picks up the phone and calls someone. She tells them, he's
gone, it's okay, I'm ready. Freeze Frame.

There you go. I swear every time I do this it gets longer... As
usual, I apologize for errors or omissions.
