Hmmmm! By this update you'll think you missed much if you've missed
the show today, BUT YOU DIDN'T! Somehow it sounds more action-packed
than it really was. The stories dragged on just a tad!

Joe/Cecile and everybody else at the Cory Mansion:

Joe is questionning Cecile about the jewellery theft. They are sitting
in the Cory living room, Paulina and Matt are present. Cecile is
getting flustered about Joe's subtle accusations and finally
Maggie rushes in and says "Cecile didn't steal the jewells - I did!".
Everyone is dumb-struck. Of course an explanation is necessary.
"Why Maggie asks Paulina, Matt adds that if she needed money, Maggie
could have come to him. "Not for this", Maggie says. They all ask for
what and she blurts out "For running away!)
(Note she wallked in off the terrace and Raphael is listening in from
outside.)

Maggie says that Cecile knows why and shouldn't she (Cecile) just tell
everyone (Maggie is her mother's daughter and plays cat and mouse with
her mom for quite a while - too long I felt - with "you know why, tell
them" over and over). Finally, Maggie bails out Cecile and says that
she was running away because she was failing a test and she hadn't
failed a test in years and she was ashamed. (get this) She says she
was on her way home and heard a song on the radio that talked about
stealing and hitting the road and thought "that would solve all my
problems"!

Paulina convinces Joe not to press charges if Rachel and Carl don't
(we don't see those two, but everyone assures Maggie and Joe that
Rachel and Carl won't). Paulina is convinced that it's because of
everything that Maggie went through with the kidnapping (which in a
way it is!).

Once everyone goes upstairs to put in a good word to Rachel/Carl,
Raphael walks in and tells Maggie it's a good thing she didn't nail
Cecile because then he would be implicated and he certainly would
bring Maggie down with him. At this point a very disturbing response
from Maggie - she assures Raphael that she is the victim and no one
will ever nail her - "see, I just got away with theft". She is feeling
very confident that she can get away with ANYTHING! (This will lead
somewhere mark my words!) Raphael and Maggie are close and
Cecile walks in and takes a "FIT". She accuses Raphael of putting
Maggie up to this and to never ever go near her daughter again.
Maggie stands up to Cecile and lays it on thick like she and Raphael
are an item (it doesn't help that he puts his arms around Maggie in
a very proprietary way). Cecile is livid! Someone's coming and Maggie
tells her mom to go stall them while Raphael gets out.

Later in the episode, Cecile is trying to get close to her daughter
and tells her she did more for her than Maggie knows. Maggie says the
only good thing Cecile did was send her to her grandmother's (Rachel)
where she is really loved. Cecile reminds Maggie about a fairy tale
she use to tell Maggie about the fair maden who met the beautiful
prince and fell in love, but they got lost in the woods and never saw
each other until much later many years after and the prince didn't
even recognize the maden and how their lives would have been very
different if they hadn't lost each other. Maggie says "so what".
Cecile was obviously very honest and trying to tell her daughter
something about the truth (it was quite touching, only Cecile can pull
this off - I swear). But at the last minute, she tells Maggie that she
just wanted to show Maggie that she (Cecile) did tell Maggie fairy
tales and sung to Maggie when she was young, but Maggie is not
impressed.

Cass is deep in thought:

Throughout the episode he is thinking about the news that Maggie is
his daughter (great idea, I wouldn't have imagined that one). He is
with Morgan in prison and can't get him out that same night and is
very thoughtful, so much so that Morgan asks if Charlie is OK because
of some remark Cass made about seeing his family. Later at home,
Frankie asks Cass if everything is ok with Morgan. He asks why.
She made his (Cass') and Morgan's charts and she sees trouble in Cass'
house of family so she assumes it's Morgan. Cass asks her what he
should do, she says don't make any quick decisions that could hurt
others. He was just about to tell her about Maggie and held back.

Mogan is not a happy camper in jail:

Morgan is dreaming about Courtney and just as he awakes - Andrew is
standing in front of his jail cell. All the cops are in the back
watching the game. (How probably is that, not much I'm sure!) Andrew
is mouthing off that Morgan will rot in jail and he will comfort
Courtney (amazing that both he and Morgan are screaming and not one
cop is alerted). Morgan totally looses it when Andrew takes off to
"find and comfort poor Courtney". The cops come out when Morgan is
making a racket trying to attract their attention and they won't
believe that Andrew was just there and since Morgan is taking a fit
trying to get out, banging on his cell bars, they shackle him (hmmm
again). Oh yes, VERY IMPORTANT, Morgan shouts out in front of the cops
(real smart Morg) that he'll kill Andrew. (Well we all know now that
Andrew is sure to die.)

And finally Love is in the air:

Lorna is waiting for Gabe in his apartment, she has lit candles,
sprayed her perfume all over the place, pour the wine and of course
has the jazz/blues type music on. One low point is when she sees the
picture again of the woman and child as a bookmark in a book on the
table (well hidden isn't it). She doesn't say anything though and when
Gabe comes in they sip wine (one sip - big rush) and they get to the
job at hand.

As a Lorna and Gabe fan I was disappointed here, no longing looks, no
bathtub (thank god, we've had enough of that with Josie and Gary), we
saw them get close, but no steam and I'm sure we all expected steam
(at least those of us who like these two). Really, you didn't miss
much! The interesting stuff comes later when they are in bed and she
really opens up to Gabe and asks "why me". He is astounded. She
explains that no one "good" every loved her, he responds something
which she says her father told her before he died (something like I'll
never leave you). He says he's sorry, she tell's Gabe that her father
was shot and she found him and there was blood all over and she
couldn't do anything to help and she is really crying. He is very
touched and says he's happy she can share everything with him.
She tells him that he can share anything with her when he's ready.

That was a good move on her part. Later, she's sleeping and he is in
the bathroom sitting on the floor hugging his knees crying like a baby
- No explanation! Hmmmm Again!

Okay, that's it. No real great quote today.
