This is a bit on the short side because I forgot I was going to do an
update
and ffed through some scenes.

Carl is extremely distraught and Rachel has taken him to the hospital.
He has
pneumonia. Grant is more and more upset about Carl's accusations. He
talks
to himself in the mirror and wonders if it wouldn't be better if Carl
were
dead.

John is back to work at the hospital and Tomas and Lorna both learn
that he
has separated from Sharlene. They don't get any of the details,
however.

Courtney tells Morgan that she wants to leave Andrew and be with him.
Morgan
says he will get her things and tell Andrew to stay away from her
because it's
not safe for her to do it. She will stay at Morgan's. Before Morgan
gets to
the apartment, Andrew shows up at the hospital and asks Courtney why
she's
neglecting him. Courtney, frightened, promises to meet him for dinner.
At
the apartment, Morgan tells Andrew that Courtney is through with him.
Andrew
disagrees -- she'll come back, she always does. After he leaves,
Andrew
smashes a picture of Courtney.

Stephen smashes a picture of Ryan after Vicky refuses to allow him to
go out
with Grant. Vicky spanks him on the butt and then immediately freaks
out and
calls a family therapist, who says that he needs a man around --
perhaps her
self-shooting, mother-of-his-child framing, lunatic-mother hiding
ex-husband.

Instead of running screaming away from the incompetent therapist, she
condiders her advice.

Everyone wonders where Maggie is. Maggie wonders if Rafael would kill
her.

Nick and Sofia tell Aunt Frannie that they are engaged so that Frannie
won't
force her back to New York. Frannie is skeptical, but appears to be
buying it
in the end.

Paulina discovers that Matt and Jake bought the paper together. She is
surprised, to say the least. Jake wants to hire an attractive
secretary;
Matt wants a competent one. They settle on Blair, who appears to be
both.
